Why?

Ukraine is a sovereign nation like Russia is it not?

Ukraine can run its internal affairs as it sees fit just like Russia.

many western people also joined ISIS and attacked iraq and syria , is this also means that western nations are covertly using ISIS to attack iraq and syria ?

i mean by the same logic of using these 1000 russian volunteers helping the militia..

i really dont understand how can the media blatanty cherry picking facts and distort it to suit someone's narrative.. the whole setup of turkish, saudis and american covertly fund, supply and train syrian rebels are hyped as a just cause while if the russian did this to their own interest ,it is branded as evil ?

is the western media really think the people are that stupid and cannot discern truth from propaganda ?

misinformation, cherry picking facts, instigating and funding civil wars, forcing one side to keep on fighting, ignoring and overlooking the plight of common civilians...................THESE ARE MAIN TOOLS OF WESTERN APPROACH TO REGIME CHANGES AND LATER ABANDONING OF THE VULNERABLE COUNTRIES AROUND THE GLOBE.

Recent history and episodes have proven that these geopolitical stunts are very cruel to common human beings in such countries not only during the civil war but long after the "horrific events". It takes a long time for these vulnerable and then devastated societies to recoup and gain normalcy in daily lives.

It is high advisable for Poroshenko to call off his troops from NovoRossiya and let that part of the map break away from what is currently called Ukraine. He should then call for new elections in the western remaining part and focus on life from there on.

While Poroshenko and few others might be billionaires but the MORAL and SPIRITUAL VALUE of each single human being on earth is EQUAL in the EYES OF THE ALLMIGHTY.........THE ONE.

Leaders of nations should take decisions based on such values and not on greed and ego which are extremely short lived and sinful.

Ukraine is not a part of Russia.

Its advisable for Putin to back off before it ends his presidency and destroys all Russia has gained since the collapse of the USSR.

If Poroshenko does not cut losses and get out of the mess, he will stand to lose even Kiev very soon.

This is non-sense. These ATO troops will be deployed in other areas to bring strength to the Junta forces. From an encirclement, either they surrender and become POWs or get blown up. DPR is not getting any weapons from them neither any body armor or similar utilities. All the heavy weapons have already been destroyed in order to not land in the hands of the DPR.

Worst, these are the fascist volunteer battalions. These bastards would prefer to go back and cause destruction in civilian areas.

I do not think that Russia should out in open invade and get involved in the mess of all sorts.

You flop more than a fish out of water, because you say that Russia should full on invade then you turn around and say Russia should stay out of Ukraine so which is it invade or not invade?

But Russia should surely help the DPR forces in taking territories and big cities.

They did and a civilian airliner was shot down...not to mention the separatists couldn't hold the cities they had which is why they had to retreat to Donetsk and their leadership all ran back to Russia.

I do not sure how easy it would be for DPR to take Meriupol where Terrorist Junta is not even allowing people to leave but forcing them to stage protests against Russia etc.

Care to provide any evidence to back your claim or are you just making things up again?

That is where some technical sophistication would really help. I bet Kiev Terrorists will do some false flag type event to make DPR look bad.

That would just make you smile wouldn't it, as you are dead set in seeing an all out war between Ukraine and Russia which is truly astonishing.

And yet they haven't done that...amazing isn't it?

Unlike what the separatists do when they are in town.

Ukraine is trying to have another election so NATO can put a better puppet in place.

You do understand that it is a parliamentary election to remove the parliament that was left over from the pro Russian ex. president Yanukovich. Also know it is a way to move on from the prior government who would rather make Russia happy than their own citizens.

And NATO has nothing to do with Ukraine politics, and if Ukraine wants to align themselves with NATO that is their god given right that Russia has no say in.

Russian propaganda pushed Putin into a corner and this is his only way out. Russian media has played on the Nazi propaganda bs that Putin could not allow the pro Russian to continue to fail. In Russian media it would be coming across as Pro Russians and Russia loosing to the "Nazi's".

The only way around that is to send in Russian troops and then continue to lie to the Russian people. The issue he has with that is the bodies coming back home. Eventually the Russian people are going to wonder why so many of their sons are dying in "training exercises".

That cat is coming out of the bag so Russia once again must rely on brute intimidation to keep the body count secret. Putin has invaded Ukraine with no authorization for the use of that force from the Duma. Something else the Russian people are going to be asking about when it leaks out enough.

The Russian economy is faltering into the negative growth because of sanctions. They are now having food issues, enough so that Putin is allowing the import of western food from Belarus and Kazakhstan. As much as pro Russians like to tout BRICS we are not seeing China nor India nor Brazil nor S. Africa running to Russias assistance to help make up for the losses from sanctions.

With the latest info the EU, before the US, is calling for more sanctions this go around. The EU has removed its restrictions on arms going to Ukraine. NATO has announced a reshuffle in force deployment, with NATO forces being stationed in NATO countries that directly border Russia.

The Russian economy, and the ruble, got smashed when the EU called for more sanctions.

The Pro Russians are failing to see the bigger picture in that Russia, courtesy of Putin, has failed in its goals. Russia could launch an all out invasion of Ukraine and win, however it wont do them any good. Russia would be isolated economically and diplomatically. It would result in Russia trying to counter a NATO increase in NATO nations while at the same time dealing with a collapsed economy.

As I stated before... This mess is a Putin vanity exercise. He is trying to show the west he has balls. The problem is Putin cannot back it up. He has the mentality where he is willing to sacrifice Russia in order to prove his personal point.

Putin has gone a Crimea to far.

I do not believe Putin or Russia have suffered a thing, not even given a dent. Ironically, it is EU which is hit most by the trade barriers; Some of EU member states are in the brink of needing financial support for their impacted agri-sector.

But, lets not forget, this crisis is really Ukrainian, and depends on how much the Ukrainian government and leadership is willing to seek a political solution through negotiations with its own citizens, instead of shelling and killing them. There is basically no negotiations going on between Kiev and the russian minority.

Problem is... does the west have equally sized balls to counter that kind of mentality?

Step 1: Instead of giving aid NATO can smack Ukraine in the head for not allowing provinces to hold voting for joining Russia, avoiding this crisis from the start. Ukraine was done as a country ever since the uprising and loss of Crimea and has been in childish denial ever since.

Step 2: Send a massive international UN peacekeeping force to stabilize the area. I'm certain that EU nations alone could gather 50,000 men to send to Ukraine. Non-existent Russian forces in Ukraine opening fire on UN peacekeeping forces would... complicate... things and probably end Putins presidency rather quickly.

Sure... We did with Hitler. We did with Stalin. We are with Putin.

Ukraine has held these types of elections per the Ukraine constitution. The issue you seem to be having is a vote of that type requires all of Ukraine to vote on it since it impacts all of Ukraine. Secondly NATO is not going to take a play out of Putins book by trying to force Ukraine into something they don't want.

As for a done country last I checked they pretty well bitch slapped the rebels back to the Russian border. Because Putin can't admit he made a mistake, he sent in Russian military forces.

Peacekeeping must be approved by not only the UN but Ukraine as well. I would imagine Russia would veto the UN resolution calling for 3rd party peacekeepers.

The Russians had the audacity to suggest they send in Russian peacekeepers.

That comment alone demonstrates just how out of touch Putin is with the real world. He truly believes his own propaganda, which is dangerous. He is a delusional preening egotistical relic from a bygone era and has no place running Russia.

This is going to blow up in Putin's face and one of 2 things will occur.

The Russian people will see him for what he is and remove him or Putin will seize control and try to recreate the Soviet Union.

Either way Putin is done in international politics. Every action he takes now further isolates him and Russia as a whole. The Russian family members demanding answers over their childrens death in Ukraine was the match to the fuse.

Then you need to crawl out from whatever rock you are under and look. The Russian economy is getting slammed by the sanctions, and this latest move by Putin will only make it worse for Russia. The Russian economy is now moving into a recession because of it.

Not really no. Those nations with the excess food items will survive.

Actually no this mess is squarely in the Russian caused category. We know this because Russia invaded Ukraine and illegally seized and annexed Crimea. That action alone should have resulted in full sanctions on Russia until they withdraw their occupation forces.

Russia is the one who needs to pull out. Russia does not get to invade Ukraine and then demand concessions to end the fighting in Russias favor.

As has been stated, Ukraine invoked article 51 of the UN charter and requested military assistance to remove Russia. What people don't understand is NATO countries can respond to that request outside of a NATO command.

I really don't think you have room to lecture Ukraine forces and civilian when pro Russian rebels are using soviet era laws to summarily execute anyone who does not support Pro Russia.

Also - the russian rebel leaders fled back to Russia.
