OT: I'm pretty disgusted by the double standards displayed in media reporting on these issues; sadly it's nothing new.

As much as I hate to use the conspiracy cliche of "waking up" it certainly seems people like Snowden have made the average person scrutinize what they see more, and I see less and less people drinking the corporate kool-aid and agenda snackbars thrown out there by the media.

Exactly. And Americans/All white groups always hated on other white groups. English hating on the Irish. Italians v Sicilians, goes on and on. And it's true for other races. I had a Jamaican roomate who openly bashed the Haitians because they "can't even get their own island."

That is actually a good point. In fact, the Trans-Atlantic slave trade of Africans was a drop in the bucket compared to the Arab/Islamic slave trade that went on for centuries. The Arabs stole more black people from Africa than Europe did, and for far longer. To compare:

The European Transatlantic slave trade of Africans started in about the 1500's, but ended and was abolished in the 1800's. The Islamic/Arab slave trade started when Islam did, in the 600's, and continued until it was forcibly abolished by western pressure in the 20th century.

So:

Number of years White people were enslaving black people: roughly 300

Number of years Muslims and Arabs were enslaving black people (and every other non_Muslim they encountered): 1400.

Also, it is interesting to note, that the first Europeans to start enslaving blacks were the Spaniards and Portuguese. The two European countries that had been under Islamic occupation (Spain for almost 800 years). Which is where they got the whole idea for enslaving Africans: their former Muslim masters. The rest of Europe caught on many decades later after seeing how well it worked for Spain and her colonies. Then everyone wanted in on the action.

While it certainly does not dismiss the immoral and evil institution of slavery in American history, it does show that whites were not the first and only people to enslave blacks, or consider them to be inferior. The Arabs held that attitude long before whitey did. And the Arabs and Muslim didn't limit themselves to just black people. What's more, given the extreme disparity in the sex ratios of slaves (2 females for every one male was the average slave ratio in the Muslim world), they were not enslaving people due to a need for cheap and wide scale labor like the Europeans did. The slaves themselves were most likely destined to a life of a domestic servant or a sexual object, given that Islam supports owning female slaves for little else than sexual gratification. And the raids they conducted against European villages were every bit as brutal and horrific as the ones committed against Africans.

There's always this double standard, African Americans and Middle Easterners will play the race card and use American and European colonialism as a way to act out against whites, whether it be verbally or violently(see thread on blacks being 200 times more likely to attack whites than the reverse).

At the same time you'll have white cultural Marxists ignoring and enabling this behaviour, also referencing the colonial past of white people, all the while they'll be ignoring the Muslim slave trade that were still active into the 70's.
They also ignore all of history, slavery has been a feature of the history of most people on Earth.

Millions of Native Americans? You surely must be talking about the pre-Columbus America because I have yet to see a Native American family just hanging out at the local WalMart or anything. Know why that is? Because they were effectively exterminated and forced onto the most inhospitable lands as "reservations". If its one ethnic group that my heart genuinely goes out to for being oppressed its the Indians.

In reality, everyone is doing what evolution has programmed them to do when they want to stick to their own tribe.

People seem to believe that we are somehow going to "overcome racism" like its a cold or something. Like suddenly we are just going to all get along and hold hands and sing Kumbayah. I knew so so many people who voted for Obama back in 08, and if you asked them why it was to "prove they aren't racist." Humans are hard wired to want to stick with their own tribe. If they weren't, then it seems to me the black community would have gotten over themselves already. Isn't that the same time where immigration would be increased and unskilled immigrants would even be hired before skilled people of African descent. All of africa is different from each other, and there are more cases of africans giving birth to white/albino children, than in europeans doing the contrary. So Africa is used to seeing every spectrum of the human experience in Africa alone. I can't say the same for Europe. Now lets get to the now. What about the people of African descent that may not have had the features that are readily identified with what people may associate as traditional African features. People try to use the ghetto to refer to dilapidated cities and under-funded communities. I went to those schools in elementary and middle school. Where I can find my brothers name in a book or two and he is 7 and a half years older than me. In 95-96 I had the privilege to move to a very nice part of Carson, Ca. I was blown away and I still can't believe my very own experience. This place, no bungalows, it seemed like the books were brand new every year, restrooms spotless and the teachers were like parents. The teachers from my original school were not even from my community and they could care any less. Not to tell my whole life story, but I eventually moved back and I believed that year changed my whole way of thinking for the rest of my life. I was back in a place where the funding seems to just miss us.
I have never met a poor person that wasn't skilled, intelligent and that preferred to be poor over anything else. You can spend all your time trying to convince me that this is the intrinsic nature of a certain group of people but this could never be the intrinsic nature of any human being without conditioning.
