Strange happenings in my house...

Hello fellow ATS'ers

First i would like to say that i am a skeptic by nature and don't really believe in this sort of thing. But I will give an account of the three things that have happened in the last few months.

First incident occurred when me and my youngest son(3yo) were laying in bed watching cartoons at about 9 PM. Wife and oldest son were visiting her mother so it was just me him and the dog. The phone rings says its Handset 1 calling Handset 2. I have one phone the other is in the kitchen. Go through the house and no one is here and the phone is on the charger. I blew it off not thinking anything about it.

About a week later it is 10:30pm wife is at work oldest son (11yo) is sleeping. My youngest son was being a little cranky but i think he was asleep he had been in bed for about 30mins. I hear something in the kitchen thinking it was my youngest i hop out of bed and go look. The blinds for my sliding door are swinging but no one there and the A/C isn't on. Weird. I go back to my room and i hear my youngest door open. Immeditaly i think oh he was up. He comes in my room and says "Daddy there is something in my room.".

I tell he no there isn't lets get in bed. I take him in set him on his bed. He points over my shoulder and says its right over there. I turn and look nothing was there accept the dark corner behind his rocking chair. He jumped up and turned the light and said "Thats why we need the light on.". ( admittedly i'm getting creeped out at this point.) So he slept with me that night.

The final incident occurred about a week later. I woke up at 2:30am in a hot sweat tossing and turning couldn't sleep and i hear foot steps walk to the doorway of my bedroom. I set up and see nothing and lay back down. My door moved slightly about 1/4 of the way open. I hear a three more steps into my room. This is where it gets weird. I hear my dog jump of the couch and come down the hallway she sticks her head in the door and looks around with her ears up. Like she heard something also. There are 5 or 6 more steps before it stops right next to my side of the bed. I reach over turn my light on and Nothing. I got down looked under the bed all over the floor. Nothing. Can't explain it.

So that's my story. I hope you enjoy sorry i have no proof. I have a vivint alarm system and i'm in the process of going through all the video clips it records when it sees moment. If anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them. Logical or other.

It is pretty plain jane. But that's how it went down lol. I really does sound like a bad goosebumps novel now that i see it in black and white.

Sure, until something starts touching the blanket or you hear breathing right outside the blanket, only to lift the covers and find yourself point blank face to face with "it". (lol)

OP try setting up some cameras. Also, If you have a webcam there are several free programs that will automatically record for a set amount of time when motion is detected.

If you don't already have infrared cameras I would suggest investing in a couple if this continues to persist. I don't really get into this sort of thing, but I have seen more "anomalies" with infrared than conventional cameras. Do you know the history of your house? Might also be something to look into if you don't.

I have my security camera but i don't think that it picks up anything worth while. I think i will be looking into the history of the house. I am still pretty determined to find a logical explanation for everything that has happened. But its looking kinda bleak.

I'm just kidding Man! I know exactly what you are feeling. We had all kinds of things happening here for about a 3-4 month time span, about 4 years ago.

I decided to reply, because of you footsteps incident. Here was mine.

It was late, and I was in bed, a big Cal King, high off the floor. My pitbull was asleep on top of the bed, positioned about center.. Its completely dark. We are upstairs on an old solid oak hard wood floor. All of a sudden I hear footsteps, and the floor creaking. Someone is walking from the doorway the end of the bed, and taking their time about it. I was already freaking out, with heart palpitations, when the unthinkable happened. The footsteps took a turn at the far corner of the bed, and began walking toward me. My Pitbull sprang up, barking aggressively, and in one quick swoop I threw off the covers, flew out of bed and hit the light switch. No one was there...... My pitbull and I looking at each other bewildered.

A real scary one happened late at night to a guest. They heard someone speaking in my family room, then went to check it out after awhile, thinking it was one of us. There was a person standing in my family room looking at my guest. The person looked like us, Human, except his skin was glowing. He stood staring and slowly disappeared.

My next door neighbors had people carrying on long conversations in their front room, and no one was there.
Another real freaky one was the time my neighbors husband walked by her in the backyard. She spoke to him as he turned the corner and went into the garage. He did not reply. She quickly followed and found her husband was asleep in bed where she had left him, and I think the ghost was wearing different clothes anyway. I could go on for an hour, as there was a whole bunch of things going on. We all joke about it now, and think its funny, but it wasn't so funny when we were the recipients of whatever was breaking through into out dimension in or around My house

A dog is helpful
I would suggest not using a recorder of any kind, it will just freak you out and they seem to feed on fear. Even a device that detects magnetic fields may not be a good idea. Avoid interaction, except demanding that they leave. I looked it up, and commanded them out in the name of Yeshua. Night after night, but it eventually forced them out

Ok here's what you need to do. Play Justin Bieber LOUD, crank that sucker up to 11 and you may need to replay the album serveral times before the spirit exits the house.

Seriously though, we had a ghost in our family home and so we had the house blessed by a priest but it didn't work. We eventually had a medium come around and she helped the spirit move on. I'm not religious or anything but I believe in ghosts lol.

Im really hoping it doesn't come to that. I'm hoping it just goes away. We lived here for about a year and a half before it started. So hopefully it was a fluke and it never happens again. But 3 incidents in 2 months or so is kinda setting a trend. Who knows. lol

So these things just started happening? Did you recently move to this house? Done any renovations? Picked something up from a garage sale or second hand store? Played around with a Ouija board? Has anyone you known passed away recently?

Since these things have been happening, I doubt they will just stop on their own. Perhaps you should contact a paranormal investigator and see what they discover.

I think you need to follow your gut instinct on this one. It doesn't hurt to have your home blessed anyway, but maybe it only works like that if you're religious. If you're a heathen like myself then go with a medium.

I would like to keep it in house if i make a decision like that. I really wouldn't want to freak my kids out. If i do get some infrared cameras and some recorders you better believe i will be posting them here!

But that will be down the road if it happens again i will do some investigating.

What if the spirit was a 'Belieber'?

I've used Sid Vicious doing his rendition of 'My Way' to repel yachts anchoring to close, but only after diplomacy had failed.

If I was a ghost I'd be p!ssed if somebody brought a Priest into the picture instead of just politely asking me to leave.

I've had good luck with plain speaking, both to invite and un-invite.

I thought about asking "it" to leave but was hesitant. What if "it" doesn't want to leave? What if it is just lonely and i turn a lonely old ghost into a crazed monster. lol I'm not sure how these things work

OK, let me just say one thing. Do NOT have the house blessed. From my experience, the activity will go away for a while after a blessing, but it will return and when it does it will be stronger and you will experience even more activity. Move out of the house if the activity becomes violent or too much to bare. I've rarely seen anyone capable of removing malevolent entities from a house or anywhere else for that matter although I do know a man who can. I have seen benevolent spirits removed often with a little guidance. It takes a REAL man/woman of God which is rare. Most priests and pastors are not REAL men/women of God and hold no power against such entities. Best thing to do is move if it is bothering you unless you live in the Tennessee area in which I can provide you with a phone number to the only man I know who can deal with these things.

Welcome to the club!!! I've had south jersey ghost researchers here 3 times. There was so much activity in my home, they asked if they could use my home for their new members, as a learning site...my home was built by my husbands great grandparents, & my father in law literally keeled over dead in my bedroom via massive heat attack.....my two younger boys, 3 years apart, described the exact same invisible people that would visit them, one man (great GPop)always had a dog. I called SJGR for the first time, when my 13 yr old was about 2 & I had to chase him through the house. Well, what happened next, defies gravity! My son was teetering on the very top step of the basement stairs, had he pitched down, like I watched him get ready to do, he would have went right into a concrete wall(our fault as the home was awaiting insulation in that part of the house).....anyway, I watched, with my heart in my throat as my son just started falling down, he suddenly & quickly got pitched up & forward, hard enough into my legs, that it almost knocked me over....thankfully, our invisible visitors are family members that have always protected the children, & liked to play peek a boo with them.....I could write a book, that's how much activity still happens to this day. My boys never got to meet their GPop, and my husband was the closest to his dad, which is why I guess he wants us to know he's watching over us....wait til they start playing tricks & hiding things from you!! Lol...that's always fun....Just speak out loud & try asking them to leave your son alone please because he gets frightened.....I've had to have a few talks with our ghosts over 17 years. S&F!! Great story!! I love these stories!! Makes me feel less crazy....lol

Whoa Whoa there fella. You trying to give me a heart attack. I am really really hoping its not malevolent lol. I'm home alone tonight and now i have a malevolent ghost in my house. JK JK

Seriously though other than "it" scaring my son it isn't doing any harm. Hopefully its just a lonely ghost.

By the way does anyone have any logical solutions to what could have caused these issues?

Not saying i don't appreciate the responses i got just looking for the ol' debunkers to put their 2 cents in.
