Or is this ATS, let me see? Yeah it is, sorry! I just find it hard to even
recognize lately, with all the boiling racism and misguided hate for cops
and most of all? The countless taddle tail threads, that are popping up,
are just pitiful attempts by 2nd grade standards, to throw some cop,
under the bus. And I agree many are a disgrace and need to go. Doesn't
mean it's true about any particular cop because of a cameo on ATS. We
aren't even close to rock bottom either. Or maybe Heavens on fire ?

I can't believe the darkness that has desended on this site. In just the
past year, year and a half. But I'm not try'n to rally some big turn around
here, or anything like that. Because I'm see'n it's gone way to far. Can
you imagine if I requested we all go back to posting doom porn? Well,
at least when Elenin was the topic of the day, the smiley faces and lols
were abundant. And most of the time the person casting a Nibiru thread,
expected to get pummeled. And they did! Didn't bother 'em. So I wish I
could say it's prolly just me, but why lie to myself?

This place used to be a lot more friendly. Now, people hold grudges and
use the silent treatment on you. Like some ten year old girl and all because
you disagreed with them in a previous thread. Then under a new topic and
on a new day, there I am, my direct question, totally ignored and why?
Because I wanted to see if that's how they were gonna be. No, I'm not
stupid enough to lame myself out like that. But I was obviously stupid for
believing academics were past such petty crap. No no, I'm not just talk'n
about members either nor is it all of ATS, of course not. But from day 1 of
coming to this site, that was the first thing I figured.

That holding a grudge from one thread to the next, would make me look
really childish. My mistake was thinking intelligent people on this site,
didn't need to hear it from an iron worker. This place has lost it's edge
and it's not even fun anymore. The threads just look like a pack of
narcissistic wolves take'n chunks out whatever they sink their teeth into.
Guess what I want say in case it doesn't get better, I mean everywhere?
Right? Is first thank you to the Mods of ATS.

Phenomenal every single one of you are far above any expectations
for human beings. To be able to toss everything about you, out the window.
That you might moderate so fairly and evenly this site. As I have observed
over and over is quite outstanding. The admins and the owners all have to
be people of some merit. They've provided sanctuary, comradery, in a
civilized arena, whereby one can exorsize their mind on a whim.

Guess that's it really in this world of unrest. See what happens next.

You nailed it, ATS is growing very hostile as of late. I hope we as a community can get with it and not end up a cesspit of nasty like a Certain Other Site. Going that route would be beyond a shame.

Just in case any if you were wondering. I prefer the silent treatment. My siblings came up with way better digs than any of you. Some of you must be only children.

Differences of opinion should be debated. I believe that that is the fundamental reason for the very existence of this site. Cross thread disputes should, and as far as I can see, are discouraged by mods. I myself have had more than one run in with mods and members, and I have only been here as a member for a year. However, I do believe that there are some members who seem to "enjoy" the continuance of disagreement on a "personal" level. This of course promotes an atmosphere of "kill the messenger, ignore the message". And that, my friends, is a sad thing.

Maybe, like in years past, it will get better when school starts back up?

I wasn't really commenting on the attitude towards a post/topic/comment, but rather the fact, as I think the OP mentioned, that some of these debates lead to "personal" opinions which in turn discourage any future debate, on any topic. That was what I meant to express at least.

It's important that we continue to help each other through this with the correct information, but also civility and respect.

And maybe try to stray into a more neutral territory when discussing more partisan issues that instigate tensions until we have most of the correct information to begin painting conclusions.

It's easy to type out but not always as easy to act on.

Some posters here can irk me right back into a partisan state of mind where I take a side with little information.

The trick will be to follow my own advice

The darkness, my friend, has descended in the real world. We are just a reflection of that in our discussions.

Annnd this is why I am also looking forward to football season. Something in my life has to be lighter for a change.

But seriously, it is sad when people feel they need to delegitimize the poster in order to shut out an inconvenient message just because it doesn't agree with what they would prefer.

Part of the way we remain strong is to confront the reality that we are strongest when we are thinking in diverse ways with differing points of view. You never know when someone who thinks differently than you might be able to interpret things in a way you hadn't seen.

Perhaps my friend the LIGHT is observing the many dark displays to better know how to consciously approach-assist the collective consciousness ALL* are part of from areas unseen but still effective...

For to produce FORCE in order to attempt to assist can/may further drive the negative energy.

It (lower vibrative energy) is permitted space to allow exhaustion to begin and overwhelm through more ignorance as to better expose and interact w/ the core problem regions requiring balance.

And so my friend 1 understands your OP however and recommends many remain STRONG through these many global Soul/Spirit/Internal Energy TEST, and not be lured into lower vibrative states of consciousness.

Those who believe "KNOW" that acts demonstrated here in the physical carry reward for doing the best any can and re-balancing of energy elsewhere metaphysical for those acts demonstrated that reflect self species hatred energy. Therefore believers acting accordingly are in better mode to ASCEND into HIGHER elevated states of EXISTENCE as opposed to ascending into lower states of existence where energy of the like exist and can interact more direct...

Above Top Secret being a global terminal for communication will unfortunately encounter large amounts of this lower vibrative energy. Its almost impossible for the site not to as many here share experiences abroad and emotions. Hopefully those who are present within the ATS boards can continue to display more leadership like qualities then some vibrating on lower frequencies, in effort to LIFT others up into more positive vibrating states of consciousness...

Yeah RVS, the darkness, like the temperature, seems to be coming down like the price of shares in analog tv antenna companies
