Playing sports does teach kids to play as a team. I don't question that. You need this training so when you enter the workforce you become a team with your co-workers. It also helps to promote loyalty to your workplace, bonding people of a kind together.
If you reread my post, you will not find that I was condemning the playing of sports at all. I said I was more interested in learning than "watching others play" I also was commenting that I can't comprehend people getting fired up over "watching" sports. We are just observers, we are not really part of the team. Now, we are all citizens of this nation, supposedly team players in the way things work. But actually..........
