TELL LIE VISION - The Corporatization Of Your Media - Dan Rather Speaks Out

Did a search and didn't see this clip. I grew up watching Dan Rather since the 60's and always thought he was an excellent Journalist, really the first one I ever identified with. I was outraged when he was railroaded out of the MSM because of his Reporting on "W's" heinous Miltary Career, this was done simply by handing Rather a "reproduction" of the information to discredit him, instead of what was important, the information which was the same, on the original and the "reproduction".

Anyway here is a clip with (snip) The Guardian's Gary Younge in which he reveals the disturbing truth about the corporatization of mainstream news media, the corruption, how deep it runs, how it is signaling the demise of true investigative journalism, and WHY YOU SHOULD CARE.

Dan Rather was always one of my favorite newscasters. Him and Walter Cronkite. Even tho i now know that they were just mouthpieces of Corporate America, i still get nostalgic now and then and wish for the days of my youth, when I would watch the horrors on the evening news and being told that all was going to be...LOOK! A squirrel!!

Seriously tho...Dan was one of the best.

Right or Wrong Sean believes what he is saying, that is different from reading a script.
Reagan was the best president in my lifetime.Brought the country back to respectability after carter.
Fox was the first network to promote the conservative view. So I understand why you wouldn't like that.

Don't disagree the media has be hijacked by political and corporate interests, but Rather became part of that. His "reporting" was clearly politically motivated. He went off the reservation with his story on W and it was politically motivated IMO. He was blinded by his politics and it's why he was so easily entrapped. He lost all credibility as a result.

It was inevitable that primary new sources would break down into protecting ideological platforms. The worst scenario is when we had one guy, Walter Crapkite, telling us all what we needed to know. Few dare question his majesty back in the day.

And just look at Fox! You can turn the sound down and just watch the honey drip over there! Poetry in motion! Much better than watching Walter Crapkite bulldog and Herman Munster's Brinkley and Huntley.

I'm not going to slug my way through 20 minutes of Dan Blather's sour grapes. He perpetrated a fraud and got booted off the news because he was no longer trustworthy. Wow, are there people who think network news was some kind of mom-and-pop operation, and then it got "corporatized" ?

Blinded by Politics? George W. Bush was a terrible President and is/was a low life, silver spoon bastard who doesn't give a rat's ass about the American People. Rather was trying to just Report what this Man who was running for President was all about. He was a Cocaine Freak and a drunk, and went AWOL. I doubt he earned his degree.

We got rid of Rather and got "W" and 911, all it took was a man of "W's" caliber in the White House to pull that off, and the House of Cards has fallen.

Reagan reversed the Tax Code which made a bubble that the Country lived on for a bit, he overturned so many safeguards that were in place to keep the Country's economy robust for all. Even David Stockman, director of the Office of Management and Budget under Reagan damns what the bastard did, he was in alzheimer land and would sign anything, he thought he was playing his greatest role. The Man didn't even know the name of his dog.

In 1983 50 corporations had 90 per cent of the media market,now 6 control 90 percent every one of these networks employs paid Pentagon shills and as of 2013 the NDAA regulatd that domestic deceptive propaganda is legal,RT isn't the only propaganda organ operating in the US.

Well you've pretty much lost all credibility as being unbiased and not politically motivated yourself. Much of what you stated about Bush can be said about Obama. You know, coc aine and all, except for the service part. Obama didn't even have the opportunity to be AWOL from the military, but he's been AWOL as a sitting president.
