He added that himself, I linked the same article and nothing showed.
No sources shouldn't be labeled dammit, let people THINK. Since when is ATS judge? Deciding what is propaganda and what isn't?

I agree with other posters in this thread, RT is no more or less biased as many other news sources (including Fox, CNN, BBC etc etc)

Either tag them all or none! don't be biased ATS!! DENY IGNORANCE

You can change it if you want to, I suppose it's the owners peaceful protest against Russia. Let'em have it, they're allowed to have biases I suppose even if you ostracize a portion of your community.

WRONG - It is not the "OWNERS" place to preach his beliefs and censor opposing beliefs.

No, ATS is better then this, no need to fuel a hate/agenda against the Russians. Actions like these only make people think they need to hate/fear the commies and whatnot.

This is agenda driven!

Of course it is but I'm not part of the company that is "The Above Network LLC", perhaps they are receiving money from the government every time someone doesn't fill in the "Title box". I would say the agenda is money and bias.

Here's my take on it. As a company they can do what they want even stop us from discussing this topic because it is about ATS itself. In the past my wee wee would get slapped for discussion of such topics. I suppose in their eyes its a trade off, they exert direct bias and we get to bitch about it. I'm not saying I agree but there are plenty of threads discussing this. Personally, I think it is a personal protest and foot stomping of an owner(s) and I'd be surprised if it stayed but you never know. I wasn't aware of this until this thread so I am glad you brought it up.

To be honest privates have all the right to not allow free speech and push any agenda they like, it just doesn't seems right but it doesn't violate any law.

No one is forced to participate in ATS so we choose to adhere to their rules

All I'm saying is you don't have to agree and either a.) its a joke and temporary or b.) they don't care and you can hit the bricks.

I'm hoping its a.) but I find it akin to spray painting your sandbox with hate speech. It's everyones choice if they want to play in it.

There's a whole bunch of websites that ATS will automatically block, such as Sorcha Faal and beforeitsnews..

What ATS is doing with RT is obviously not that extreme, what it is saying is "Hey, you can link to these guys but understand that they're state owned and run and the information within will reflect that" .

It's actually helping the casual reader understand that fact, as many appear to not be aware of it.

That's kinda funny though! Because I saw what 'they' did as kind of juvenile. Maybe the site has been hacked by some little smart kid, and he's testin the waters to see what all he can get away with! LOL!!!

There is some very impressionable people on ATS. I have seen it in various threads in the past where you could near enough state that the sky was blue and people would blatantly disagree because the source you posted wasn't on their 'approved source list',

Tagging RT like this just leads to more ignorance, tis a shame.

Blocking known hoaxes is one thing, which I fully agree with.

However what ATS is doing isn't helping the "casual " reader. People come here to learn, understand, figure things out. ATS doesn't need to point them to a direction. EVER.

This doesn't do anything positive, it creates a divide, and so much more.
And i'm sorry, people who can't think for themselves shouldn't be here in the first place.

Yeah but what about the BBC, CNN, Fox etc??? they are also biased news sources are they not?

They should all be tagged if ats insists on going down this route.

I think it's wrong to single out RT for this treatment...We could add (State-run propaganda source) to just about every media outlet in the western world...They are all under the control of or at least work hand in hand with TPTB to some extent.
Some more than others.
but they are all guilty of working with their Governments when it's suits each party.

Everything you've just described in regards to what they've done with linking to RT, can technically apply to those banned sites too.

Yet you're ok with that? Isn't that stopping people thinking for themselves? Creating a divide?

It's also clear that a lot of people, and I'm not being rude, it's the truth, can't think for themselves, there is way too much confirmation bias here.

Personally, if RT gets a link label, so should the rest of the allowable news sites, to keep it fair. Want to link HuffPo? Left propaganda. Want to link Fox? Conservative propaganda. CNN? Confused Propaganda (they do tend to pendulum swing back & forth) And so forth, lather, rinse, repeat through everyone else.

It's really not fair to single one out above the rest. Either all of them get a side note, or none do.

The biggest difference I see.. RT would never post anything against its own government, FOX, CNN and the like are partisan for sure, but they at least are sometimes critical against the government..
