Unfortunately from looking at the live feeds we need someone like an MLK ... while its peaceful, its missing that quiet dignity that was there during the Civil rights movement.

Of course the neighboring towns are thinking about rioting because they need new LED TV's too. Then the swat will have to lock that city down too because that's what happens when a city becomes so chaotic. TPTB have to lock it down for residents safety. I'm all for freedom and protests, but when they erupt into what they have there then it becomes about peoples safety. A drive-by shooting just happened there and a woman killed. It's out of hand and those folks need to go home for now. When they can have peaceful protests then they are protected by the constitution.

Thanks for the link. Looks like they are now bringing in choppers and more officers. Telling protesters to maintain a distance of at least 25 feet from the officers and vehicles. Also telling them they have the right to continue to peacefully assemble, just has to be 25 feet away from the officers and vehicles.

I get the feeling if there were some people who understood tactics this bullying by the police would not be the cakewalk it appears to be. Not that I am advocating violence but I do not think the protesters, who are peaceably and Constitutionally assembling, would be told to move while simultaneously being told their rights were not being violated.

It is no longer a community protest.

Professional protestors on Bullhorns controlling the sheep in the crowds as per usual on Ustream.

The authorities should have let them burn the whole town down before they rolled in with this type of presence. It is just going to provoke confrontation. Can hear a guy up front yelling to shoot. It will only take a few provocateurs to end badly.

First if all I haven't criticized anyone for having a fatherless family, and I'm not a police officer and you don't have to prove anything to me, but if you feel the need people could prove they are not criminals by not committing crimes.

Watching and listening to the live stream, I find myself hoping that none of the emerging leaders of the crowd urge the rest to violence. I fear the show of force is not a show ...

The thing is, for every death at the hands of the police, the anger grows.
It is not just one person, it is a seeming disturbing pattern over the course of the last year.

It is boiling over in one spot, and perhaps it could trigger more protests elsewhere.

I don't see this as a racial thing as much as a bigger issue that is hitting police departments in many places.
It does have the potential for rioting and anger that spills over into misdirected areas.

It is scary.
And now they arresting reporters, which is scarier.
