I am going to open the can of worms here .

I am sure most of the staff are aware of the question I am going to ask ...

So let's get to it .


I brought this up in another thread and a super mod was not able to answer my question . this is what prompted me to make this thread .

Not showing up/ been posted on the AboveTopSecret.com/Facebook page ?

As I stated in another thread I watch the ATS feeds closely on FB in hopes that I will see one of my threads posted some day . I have picked up on a pattern , part of that pattern is that ATS front page stories are Always posted on FB ....SAVE for this particular front page thread...........why?


Does ATS control what is posted on FB? as I recall them making a statement claiming they don't ..but rather its an algorithm.


I have to lean towards BS until I find some answers ...

Actually I'd like to know too.

I mean if its normally done by random and someone specifically targeted that thread to make sure it didn't appear on ATS's Facebook, well lets just say that it would seem wrong to do that on what is supposedly a free thinking conspiracy site.

Personally I don't see why anyone would want to suppress the fact that we openly question ourselves and others as it shows how we can freely spout our views - surely it is a good thing to show we do. Speculatively, if someone did suppress this thread then the fact that it was suppressed could cause worse damage than the thread posting in the first place.

just keep calm, ignore denial and carry on.

Meh... Good way of putting it .

We have a dedicated social media person who looks for content on ATS, as well as other sites, that could possibly be of interest to the FaceBook and Twitter audiences, which is different than the audience that visits ATS.

Not every thread that achieves "top billing" through flags or replies makes it to the FB page, in fact, few do.

These are examples of non-ATS content recently posted to the FB page:

After experimentation, our automated process was scrapped in favor of an actual human being. After that, our "likes" exploded and has been the case ever since.


Explained. I'm not going back down into the ludicrous hole that thread has become.

I think that thread is for ATS members to see and not really prospective investors. Honestly, as a member here, I would rather that not be advertised outside of ATS simply because it is more of an internal issue (if there is such a thing on a privately-owned forum).

The fact the thread exists is enough to satisfy my desire for humility to be shown on their behalf and they showed it just fine. There are two sides to the owners; the owner side and the member side. People need to distinguish between the two and non-members might not be able to do that so well.

the vast majority would have but the least of a clue regarding it all.

afterall .... these fine folks didn't just show up and be made Staff Members due solely to their presence here..

They took an avid interest, participated and posted within the rather minimal constraints set forth by the Same T&C, and were, at some point, presented with the opportunity to help /better serve that which piqued their interest of ATS in the first place.

and yet we're to question their 'goals', 'determinations', 'desire to steer discussions', etc.!?

staff are as diverse a group as, if not more than, 'The Membership' itself.!


we often have as difficult time coming to a consensus, regarding a gieven post, as y'all do on something like 9-11 [ lit it happen, made it happen]

day in and day out.

that dynamic. that diversity, virtually ensures there be no possibility for 'organized thought' [ATS does this. ATS does that] virtually can't be a reality.

ATS supports and hold Members true to the T&C.


Not perfect by any means...


but also something I'd task anyone to find elsewhere in this large of/type Community.

Another thing to ...


It's obvious by the amount of posts /posters , that members have issues with certain aspects about ATS , why not try and reach out and put some time in trying to find out what the major issues are so they can be resolved?

Give back to the people who keep you afloat?

I understand its a "privately owned" site but as a matter of moral I would say their should be an obligation to the people
Who keep driving content to this website.


I share the same belief as many loyal members and that is that ATS no longer holds the interest of "the people".

It seems to be more focused on making money.

I believe and respect what you are saying here , but with all due respect I don't think many members feel "ATS has their best interest at heart "
