So, lately many people have been saying how unpopular Putin is, that Putin is evil and bad, and this and that. Many have been saying that people don't like him, and that they are unhappy with him.

But, this videos i am about to post will show you just how untrue that is.

Must be these all people are just payed by Putin...yeah, definitely.

Ah, yes puff pieces on the man who pays their salaries.

They don't bite the hand that feeds them, and just so you know people know how popular he is as he can do no wrong thanks to media like RT.

Obama merchandise still sells here and he's polling as the worst post war president ever.

It's pop culture nonsense.

There was a whole slew of celebrities that went hugging Hugo Chavez after he expressed his hate for the US. Boatloads went to be human shields for Saddam Hussein. You can find a whole lot of lefties in love with the latest flavor of Iran. There is no doubt you will find more than a few people worshipping the ground Putin parades bare chested on.

None of that means that someone is overall popular with regular people.

The US government constantly bites the hand that feeds them. Hell they have bitten so much that the hands are gone and there is only a couple of bloody nubs left and yet they continue to do the exact opposite of what the people that they are supposed to represent want.

Unless we had someone on the site from Russia who could say how people like him, I will believe that he is liked by some and hated by others, with most of the people in the middle wondering how come they don't ever get a real good leader. I suppose it is just like here where we cannot seem to find a truthful politician. Most people are conditioned there just like we are here.

Whilst on holiday in turkey I stayed at a predominantly russian hotel.

This was during the time of the downing of the Malaysian plane, and the person who I was speaking to flew out the day after.

He told me how the country was worried that they could have shot down the president instead of the malaysian plane, as he was in the air at the same time.

It's so hard to please everyone, that over a 50% approval rate is pretty good...

Yet, Putin is doing much better than 50%.

Seriously, for Russians, he's the best president they've had since the fall of the Soviet Union.

All this time i thought you were a Putin hater. But now, i realize that you actually hate Russian people in general. I mean, implying that people in Russia cannot think for themselves and basically saying that they are stupid, proves it all. Do you think they base their opinion on just what's being said on the news? Do you think they cannot think for themselves? I think you are wrong. I think a lot of Russia people actually know what's going on in the world and that's why they at least don't hate Putin. Think about that.

Actually I'm from Serbia, but i don't understand how that has to do with anything. A lot of people from all kinds of countries actually support Putin.

As far as i can see, there are a lot of people here who understands what kind of politics Putin does, and that he ain't as bad as mainstream media are presenting him. So yes, call me naive for supporting Putin's battle in trying to keep Russia not becoming just another puppet in the master show.

What news do they watch that isn't controlled by Putin?

I wasn't being nasty but I'm not surprised that your from a Russian supporting country. That actually has a lot to do with it.

And Putin is exactly making Russia become just another puppet in the master show. He's taking the whole world back to the cold war time and that's not good for anyone. He is such an antagonistic little character and he is not a good choice to be the leader of a country as great as Russia.

Luckily there's this thing called the Internet where you can find anything you want. Unless that evil Putin isn't controlling the Internet also!?!?!?!

Anyone can find information that are not being said in the news. I like to think that like people here on ATS, Russians actually use their brain while watching the news or surfing the net, and that they make the conclusions for themselve. That's why there aren't many Putin haters in Russia. Because they know what US and EU presents and they understand that if playing their game, nothing good will come out if it. Like nothing good has ever come from the western democracy. Just ask any Serbian...oh wait

I think Putin is hated more on the west than he is in his own country. Funny right?

not 100% sure if this is correct as i am gooing off memory which is not good lol. As far as I am aware Russia has a very good middle class unlike America, they have good earnings and very little debt now compare that to America. Why shouldnt the Russians love Putin
