Technically the acronym for them isn't ISIS. If you were to transliterate the Arabic the acronym is Daesh, which is what their opponents call them - with flair. But ISIS works too since they are pagan in origin, sons of Hind the liver eater. Either way its an insult, not a respect.

You know what the women face if captured is much much worse than what any of the men will face. They DON'T have anything to loose, and everything to gain by fighting.

How two cultures linked so closely can be so different is strange, I have for years been outspoken regarding the women oppressed by Islam, in the hopes one day the WOMEN will force the changes.

Easier said then done I know, but I often wondered if reincarnation was real what would I want to do, I never had a real idea what, until now.

I really don't agree how they treat their women..I hear dogs get treated better..talking to a Muslim friend, she says, basically they are "sex slaves". sounds great hehe, but it's pretty bad. That's one thing I don't believe in there religion.
I think Man and Women should be treated as equals.

I think the treatment of wives is dependent upon the husband himself. Everyone is different, and many women I know are very very happy, some not so much. Muslim women get our way though in much more subtle ways, rather than overt assertion of self, which is different than Christian women.

I was not happy with my ex - to put it mildly... but he didn't treat me as a sex slave either. (he actually didn't much like sex) I think the main difference between how Muslim men treat there wives and how Christian men treat their wives is often personality and cultural differences.

I think the sentiment toward women by Muslim men is much better now than it used to be... especially in cities, rural areas are always a bit more backward.

I just checked the link, I know the picture of the heads in a box was not the work of ISIS, it was actually from Yugoslavia. I seen it years ago while reading about that war.

I can't say anything about the other ones though, I usually try to avoid beheading pictures.

Edi: now that I read the thread, it seems others are recycled as well.
