These problems that seem to be 'overwhelmingly everywhere' have always been around and always will be, natural/weather based occurances are always going to occur. Tornados, sinkholes, weather fluctuation (hello ice age and several thousands of years in ancient pre-history), and so on.. It's apart of planet earth, it's geology. It's what comes with a planet.

The only difference is that now a days, compared to not even 20 years ago, people are able to exchange information with ease via the internet, they are able to discuss these happenings in their areas, they begin to express their theories, etc, to a global audience. Thus, it seems like all of these things are going on so much more, but really, it's just the increased ability to hear anything and everything that goes on in any area of the world and anyone's theories on it.

The news used to be the only form of finding out somethings of interest to news stations that were going on in the world, now people are connected on the internet and have access to what is going on anywhere at any time (and at times what is claimed to have happened is either disinformation, based off of confusion, or from a total idiot), hell, whenever someone takes a dump in their toilet half of the way around the world- you'll know about it with one of their 'status updates' or 'blog posts'.

The only thing that has changed is the expansion of limitless communication worldwide.

If there were thousands of sensors, weather cams, and camera-phone in everyone's pocket back in ____________, a very similar video could be put together. Someone just decided to take on the project here in the Summer of 2014.

I'm growing to believe that mankind's paranoia (driven mostly by Satan's news media) will ultimately cause us to destroy ourselves through murder of each other, and self-destructive personal habits.

My weather is off in southwestern BC Canada. Been very hot and dry all summer. It usually rains and rains and rains. It's been this way the past few summers. I love the warmer summers, but it's getting to be a bit much now.

Re the video, yes it's seems a lot when it's all in one video. I missed the red water thing , here near Vancouver. I don't watch local news much. I get my news on ATS lol

But haven't you heard...this happens all the time. Hey, you just know about it now because of better communications...it's the age of the internet so, there you have it folks...everything's okay. lol.

Yeah, weather here has been strange the last couple of days. It's been in the seventies for three days now. I forgot what summer was supposed to be like. That is normal for here though, we usually get about three weeks of summer a year. The seasons here are fall, winter, winter, and spring. There is one week of summer break in spring and one in the fall.

Everywhere else is getting all the exciting weather, we get to go to pig fest.

If all the murders that occurred today in the U.S. were reported on every local newstation in the morning, people would be scared to leave their house and the religious nuts would be out fighting the presence of satan through nationwide prayer... but it would be just another day in reality...

Global climate change can't be denied much longer can it?

Whether the earth will get warmer or colder, who can really say?

All I know is its fun to be alive during such turbulent times....

I hope I don't eat those words later

Here in Florida weather has been wacky all year...

I found this video on YouTube about the weird weather phenomena around the world going on right now.

It shows

  1. Tornadoes
  2. Severe typhoons
  3. Wildfires
  4. Storms
  5. Floots
  6. Dead fish everywhere
  7. Sinkholes
  8. Earths magnetic field weakening

- August is one of the peak seasons for tornadoes, typhoones, wildfires, floods in the Northern Hemisphere.

- Earth's magnetic field is weakening for many years now.

This is nothing radically out of the ordinary except for the magnetic field. Things are happening on season.

Shoot I just hope Djibouti gets lush and green because this place is HELL climate wise. It's 120 degree heat index 50% to 80% humidity and sandstorms that feel like you're getting attacked by sandpaper. From what I hear this is normal Djibouti weather though. I don't know how things are back home, but I wish I did because that'd mean I was there instead of here.

Also Antarctica used to be a jungle as well and most of North America was swamp land and plains. IMO I think this is just natural climate change. The Earth goes through many different cycles and we could just be witnessing a major one.

Seems to me weather patterns are sort of shifting. Places that used to get no hurricanes or tornadoes are now. Places that did aren't.

For sure. I remember a decent hurricane every 2-3 years as a kid, but it's been 9 years since South FL had a notable Hurricane. That's unheard of. Also the summer's have been unbearable hot the past 7 years and the winter has been much shorter than when I was younger. Summer seems to start in April now and run all the way until October

I love how you skeptics are always trying to claim this.

Relax there is nothing to worry.

Our planet's magnetic field is in a constant state of change, say researchers

LOL! Say researchers ah yes the same government researchers whom love covering things up for the government.

7. Sinkholes have been going on forever.

Sure it has being.

Are you going to suggest that this summer felt like a normal summer? because where it sure didn't. For the past two decades it did in some ways.

Not sure what you mean about the polar reversal? I was taught this in Geology several decades ago now - before any of the global warming stuff was being taught. Do you realise there are lava fields where the polar reversal has actually been trapped in the rock? And from time periods with no mass die offs? I don't know about you, but to me that says "nothing to worry about".

The weather in the NE of Scotland has been unpredictable at best over the last year or two. This summer alone it could be roasting in the morning and monsoon type rain in the evening. It will be warm one day and snow the next. I've seen it moderately warm whilst hailstones are smashing down. It's terribly difficult planning your day at the moment.

I went out for a walk last night without a jacket as the sky was clear and the temperature was fine, and half way round the town biblical rain soaked every item of clothing to my skin in a matter of seconds. So, now I have the cold!

I do agree that it is normal for weather to fluctuate (even to extremes) since it's a system and it has many factors which it needs to balance between and which, in the end, results in constant fluctuations. Meaning that the more there is to balance, the more the said factors will rapidly change as an attempt to straight the whole system out. I also always take into consideration that the time we have been measuring these stats is less than a mere milisecond when compared to the age of Earth, let alone the age of Universe as we know it (as Earth is a part of this parental system as well).

Having said that, I would suggest both camps get their heads out of their behinds and stop with the "it's the end of the world" vs "it's quite normal to have tornadoes cause weather fluctuates, duh" dialogue.

People are part of this ecosystem - check.
Being a part, people influence - check.
Results - weather fluctuating crazier and crazier - check.

Question is - what can me, you and your neighbour do, besides adapting. Every other question and the search for its answer is a waste of time. Maybe except to what extent and at what pace will this develop in future - something that we need to leave to the scientists to ponder upon.
