The Israeli military said it has captured a Hamas manual on urban warfare — called “Introduction to the City War” — that extols the benefits of civilian deaths and openly admits that Israel tries to avoid them.
The Israel Defense Forces also said the manual — whose cover shows images of militants wielding rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons — crows about the propaganda value of the deaths of innocents.
“The destruction of civilian homes: This increases the hatred of the citizens toward the attackers and increases their gathering around [to support] the city defenders,” the manual said, according to the IDF.
The manual, which came from the Shuja’iya Brigade of Hamas’ military wing, also explained how heavily populated urban areas — called “pockets of resistance” — make operations for the IDF difficult because Israeli soldiers try not to harm civilians.
In a portion entitled “Limiting the Use of Weapons,” the manual explains that:
The soldiers and commanders (of the IDF) must limit their use of weapons and tactics that lead to the harm and unnecessary loss of people and [destruction of] civilian facilities. It is difficult for them to get the most use out of their firearms, especially of supporting fire [e.g. artillery].
Clearly Hamas knows the IDF will limit its use of weapons in order to avoid harming civilians, including refraining from using larger firepower to support for infantry.
The manual goes on to explain that the “presence of civilians are pockets of resistance” that cause three major problems for advancing troops:
(1) Problems with opening fire
(2) Problems in controlling the civilian population during operations and afterward
(3) Assurance of supplying medical care to civilians who need it
Lastly, the manual discusses the benefits for Hamas when civilian homes are destroyed:
The destruction of civilian homes: This increases the hatred of the citizens towards the attackers [the IDF] and increases their gathering [support] around the city defenders (resistance forces[i.e. Hamas]).
It is clear that Hamas actually desires the destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure, knowing it will increase hatred for the IDF and support their fighters.
Now this manual was found three days ago, so I'm kind of curious as to why every mainstream media source hasn't just jumped on this story????
if true it's proof that Hamas is using UN schools and children as human shields... you would think even MSNBC would be all over a story like that??? Or at least the BBC...

In this IAF aerial footage taken during the Cast Lead Operation in January 2009, a Hamas terrorist fires a rocket from the roof of a house, he then calls to a group of children accompanied by an adult to come to the entrance of the house to escort him out. This is yet another example of how Hamas deliberately exploits civilians to provide cover for their terrorist activities.

I can see Nitwityahoo printing this off his PC desperately hoping that someone will believe it. This is a Zionist tactic. war through deception and lies and all that. I need to see proof that Hamas write this but I don't see any proof. Only Israeli claims.

I have to admit if I was in charge of Hamas` and this was indeed our practice and policy...
I wouldn't write it down in some book for anyone to find... Esp not now when the world press seems to be on their side...
So why F-up a good thing at this stage of the game???
and yet there is no real proof it's a fake... just guesses from people like me who saw a copy posted on the web...

Sounds like Israeli propaganda to me. Israel are clearly not avoiding civilian casualties as the manual claims. The Flechette rounds already convinced me of that. Hamas seems to be run by Israel itself, a scape-goat to justify finally ridding itself of the last of the Palestinians on the strip. Israel's playing both sides. That's how it looks, anyway.
