Well, I just looked at your other thread from this forum (RFT), it seems that you are somehow assuming MOST of us are "not so smart". Right?

Welcome to ATS - please read the T&C before insulting other people. Yeah, I'm pretty smart. So are the people you dismissed in your other thread.

"lol"

Now - suppose I came on here and said, "What lies?"

Let's start with that. If you're talking about character-development in mythology that would be a good starting point.

(Oh, and Jesus and Buddha DID teach the same things.)

Or - how about you start by telling us what your frame of reference/religion is?

The topic of the thread is whether or not ancient Hebrews considered demons to be good in God's judgment. If you would like to start a thread on a different topic, I offered to comment in it.

I never dismissed anyone nor did I insult anyone. You also can't escape what I already know, which is that you are playing.

Hmmm. And you can't escape what *I* already know -

you have a couple of hours after posting to change your title.

Might I suggest:

Here's what they thought about demons,
a reply to: WeAllDieSoon

In the same way the Greeks and Romans may have worshiped their divinities, fondly believing them to be good. But the Christian Scriptures declare that all the gods of the Gentiles are demons.

Demons and Angels think of them like play dough. Then imagine those jigs that you can get to shape the dough that would represent the eenviromental forces that shape their physical being. Just like us here on this plane our being is shaped by forces of earth. Now the question is how did they get there. Perhaps by other realms or planets that have gone through a cycle of choice just like we are. Seems pretty simple that good people go to good places and bad people go to a bad place just like the book says but what if some god in an existance we are unaware of decided to make the rules backwards and the ones who followed the rules and seemed to be good people went to a bad place after judgement. Just think of the nightmare of being put in a place where you are good at your core but you have desires that come along with being a demon.

Fine:

I have no bank account, facebook, twitter, I-phone, no recent pictures in circulation, and I just quit smoking.

Are you going to continue on topic here?
I want to hear about your "demons"...

also - not clear on whether you believe in them, or don't. Or WHOM it is that exists but you don't believe in.

(I know how to play chess, btw...please don't talk to me like I'm a dolt.)

That is not the topic.

No, I do not believe in demons. I believe in God.

The topic is whether ancient Hebrews considered demons to be good or not. The lie being spread is that Christianity changed the meaning of demons. I see it constantly.

Let me rephrased what I said in another thread. Some words has different meaning according the context you use them. The word demon was first use in the Bible in the New Testament, because it was written in greek. The word does not exist originally in Hebrew (it was adopted later with other meaning). The root of the word demon is daemon and it means - internal conflict (that's the basis for possession). Example: If you smoke and you are trying to leave it, smoking becomes your demon. Is a conflict between you and cigarettes.
So if demons are good or not? They are both, because before they were angels. God condemned them, but what if they repent? They have the right for forgiveness as same as we have. The mercy of God is for everyone.

I'm not talking about your username, bro. I meant the title of this OP - which doesn't seem to be drawing in many shoppers.
It's free to go back to your original post in this thread of yours, click "edit", and then change the title. But only for a few more minutes. After that, you can ask a mod to change it for you.

(Sorry about the smoking thing - tough job, that.
Maybe that''s why you're edgy?)

Demons and Angels think of them like play dough.

Demons and Angels think of "whom" like play dough? Humans? Aliens?

Geez, I'm lost.
I thought I woke up speaking English, but apparently it's an off day for me.
LOL!!!

I think we should first establish whether or not they exist at all, before attributing human qualities to them. Same as God.
Not human? Then doesn't have "human qualities". Bigger than we can wrap our heads around. Not a person.

We just bloody-well don't know. I find no shame in admitting "I don't know." It's the only sensible stance, in my opinion. But, you know - what do I know?

Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

You are right. God and His angels do not have human qualities. We have a form of Godliness. Perspective.

Personally, I don't think 'God' said ANYTHING. God just did God's thing. And I certainly DON'T think we humans are above everything else, or have "dominion" over anything. This planet is a living thing. We are a parasite on it.
The Bible and other scriptures are simply hearsay.

God said a lot in one sentence. Look out the w1nd0w.

We are not above everything else, but we are above the animals and the plants.

Talk to God. He talks back (albeit how he sees fit and not how you see fit).

No. Without them, we would die. With us, THEY die.

Talk to God. He talks back (albeit how he sees fit and not how you see fit).

I do, and in the eyes of my dogs, I see God; in the purr of my cats, I feel God. In the walnuts dropping all over my roof, I feel and see God.

Talk to animals. They talk back, albeit how they see fit.
Talk to plants. They talk back, too.

We are PART of nature - PART of what lives on this planet. Not that special, and certainly not alone in the universe.

Edit: NICE JOB on the title edit.

Yes, the creations that God put us in charge of interact with us. What we do with those creations is our choice.

Regardless, WeAllDieSoon anyways. The world is fallen.

Yep, we do. We all die.
The world is a mess, yes - because of humans. Because of their endless bickering and territorial tribalism and violence and greed.

The animals and plants don't need us (well, farm crops that require irrigation, and domesticated animals, maybe). Neither do the oceans or the lakes and rivers. Or the wind, rain, clouds, storms, etc. We are TAKERS. And WRECKERS of what we were given by 'God'. Including each other.

I prefer to try to build people up, care for the plants and animals in my charge, and reach peaceful understanding with them all. Dirty hippie stuff, ya know.

Why do i get the feeling you know more about them than what you claim?

Think of demons and angels like dna that when manifested in to different enviroments their physical being will be different depending on surroundings. ex. would be if your dna was put in a place unlike earth and it caused you to look like a cartoon character that we humans would percieve as evil. Now deep down inside you are still you but you have urges that come to you not from your soul but from your physical being and those urges could be harmful to others and you would not be able to overcome them.

About demons? I know the mythology. I just don't believe they exist.
Angels have proven themselves to me (to my satisfaction). As for the biblical "God" and "Jesus" - no, not so much.

I know some stuff about some stuff, dick....
but I certainly don't know everything I'd like to know - and one puny human lifetime simply isn't long enough to know all there is (or even all I'd like) to know.

Anyway, I was just messing with you about the 'think of them like play dough' that you attributed to Demons and Angels way of thinking. Petty?

Just conversational and light-hearted.
Oh well, I'm striking out anyway today - see you all later on!!!!

Think about this, do the angels do things that benefit everyone. No they don't, they look after certain people and their actions negatively effect some people. Now to those who they negatively effect, they are probably considered demons, because they do not do what they think is right.

So one person's angel is another's demon.

Now there are probably demons also, but they are rare, crabby and disruptive spirits of some sort.

Now if you read the bible, if the entities you communicate with are angels or god, then this is considered good and you are considered a prophet. But if you are in contact with the bad spirits, then you are with demons. Now would an angel helping Muslims be considered a demon by the Israelis? No religion owns these beings, they help good people, not religions.

The truth is that there are good people in every religion and there are also bad people in every religion. There are some Christians that go to church every week that get their money by decieving others out of their money. They laugh about it thinking god is helping them get rich. Is it really god that is helping them, maybe it is in their minds.

I like the words of Jesus. He seemed to be a good person. The old Testament is there for reference so that we do not make the mistakes in it again. But we keep looking at it and feel it is there to show us how to gain wealth and power. Now there is a little demon inside everyone, that demon blinds us to the truth. God belongs to anyone who will accept him. When reading the Bible, read it all, not just what you want to see, it is a good book.
