Nope, but by all means lets throw a massive catastrophe on top to make it that much better....LOL. Never have gotten the "maybe it will take a massive event to wake us up" train of thought. If anything that would just throw chaos into it.

Any of the super volcanoes could erupt within minutes or never again. Currently we don't have any way of knowing.

what they did link to was RT making a HUGE amount of hype and speculation on the weather channel article which said one of the roads was a little melty, a common phenomenon in yellowstone, and that part of the park was temporarily closed...

They stressed the commonality of this happening to roads periodically in yellowstone and how they are not even closing the park because there is no concern!

As far as I can tell it is a satire since I can clearly see people on their live webcam walking around: Old Faithful Geyser
Also you can notice that is raining and if you check the weather there is raining so is not a replay or something.

You if and when it does erupt it will not matter in the slightest if people were warned. Those who run for their lives of the aftermath will be in such poverty they may have wished they stayed. Such an eruption will devastate the globe in one way r another. I think I may be clear in Florida but the refugees would change everything. People are always spouting off about AGW that it is stupid to live near water but if you turn it around on them about being in the path of something like a tornado/super volcano/Mexico-US border their story changes.

Well if I lived near Yellowstone I wouldn't move and BTW I have road out every Hurricane so far.

It would be nice to hear from someone in the area, but, if they are in the process of evacuating, I don't think their will be too many of them taking the time to post to ATS. It would be nice though . . . perhaps some streaming video of the mass looting and carnage for which humanity is so notorious.

Idahomie already said no one was leaving. I am still home and there is nothing being said locally about anything to do with an eruption. Now you have heard from TWO people in the neighborhood.

I didn't say I thought people were evacuating. I was just pointing out that if they were, I wouldn't expect them to be taking the time to post on ATS. Although if they did post on ATS, I can imagine the number of people demanding a video from YouTube as proof that it was actually happening.

I have a book written in the 80s called "The Earthquake Generation", it talks about a volcano that blew in the 1800's & people up to 2000 miles away thought a gunshot went off in their vicinity. Can you imagine if Yellowstone blows? I read recently that the eruption could last up to a few years. Really hope I live to see this!
