Based on the readings I've done, I don't think Ebola is quite as communicable as most make it out to be. Yes, it can be transmitted by body fluids, however most casual contact will not necessarily cause it to promulgate. I imagine it could contained easier in the US than in these African countries.
However, from a terror perspective, yes, I believe it would be horrifying. Of course it's not the terrorists that would be responsible for spreading the terror. It would be the media. Just look at the news now. All the reporters are convinced this is the end of the world and we're all going to die, based on the questions they're asking.
You'll notice if you read virtually any mainstream article on the topic that they make a point of insisting that Ebola is only transferred by physical contact with bodily fluids. This is not true, at all. A study conducted in 2012 showed that Ebola was able to travel between pigs and monkeys that were in separate cages and were never placed in direct contact. Though the method of transmission in the study was not officially determined, one of the scientists involved, Dr. Gary Kobinger, from the National Microbiology Laboratory at the Public Health Agency of Canada, told BBC News that he believed that the infection was spread through large droplets that were suspended in the air.
They would probably die in like 2 weeks.

They would probably die in like 2 weeks. That's not really much time, especially considering that they're going to have to get to Western Africa, make it through airports, and then get processed at the southern border. They'd probably die by the time they reach the border. Either that, or they'd die during processing. If that were to occur, i think the USA would be well prepared to settle things...hopefully.
. Men who have recovered from the disease can still transmit the virus through their semen for up to 7 weeks after recovery from illness.

I have been seeing 21 days listed as the time from infection until symptoms develop.

2 days - 2 weeks.
but they are telling everyone that they can be stopped at the airports.
the airport people are on the front lines, does anyone realize what that means?!
yup, screwed! if they want to just fly in with a valid passport. no need to go through mexico.
they just need to get infected in sierra leone/liberia, get smuggled out to another country to fly into the east coast.
they could be on a plane within 3 days of infection. within the incubation period.
we have an alert here in HK for ebola.
