The man accused by many, especially here, of giving Hamas back their rockets after being found in vacant UN schools breaks down in tears over the murder of innocent people, children, taking refuge in an UN building in Gaza. A building that housed no rockets, mortars, or Hamas, just people who are displaced because their neighborhoods have been decimated.

"After a United Nations-run school sheltering more than 3,000 Palestinians was shelled early Wednesday, UN official Chris Gunness could not contain his grief while on camera with Al Jazeera Arabic.

"The rights of Palestinians, and even their children, are wholesale denied... and it's appalling," Gunness, spokesman for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), told Al Jazeera Arabic from Jerusalem. The interviewer appears to thank him for appearing, upon which Gunness breaks down and weeps.

Gaza's Ministry of Health said at least 17 people were killed and 90 wounded by the school shelling. An Israeli military spokesman told the New York Times that Israeli troops did not target UN facilities, but did respond to Palestinian militant fire from nearby the school in Jabaliya refugee camp."* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

Because of Israel's actions they are losing support. Die hard supporters will continue to defend their actions but the hardcore crowd isn't even close to a majority. A world that is war weary, especially in the Middle East, will find that Israel has fallen from it's favor.

Has Israel had any concerns about the killing of innocent Gazans? I've yet to find any apology or at the very least, regret. Apparently the answer when asked of Israel is it's always the same, it's Hamas' fault & Israel will continue the operations.

If anyone has any news links of Israeli leaders expressing concern, regret, or even sadness please post it here.

Wow, that was tough to watch.

And to see these Zionists calling for the raping and murder of all Palestinians, its truly bizarre considering that they were once the victims of genocide.

Even calling for a Palestinian holocaust...

I still don't understand why Israel doesn't simply take out the Hamas leadership with a few cruise missiles? There's only a couple of key leaders and they are not hiding like Osama Bin Laden was. In fact they conduct TV and radio interviews on a daily basis.

Naturally the cruise missiles would kill some innocents. But as we know, that's already happening. But at least we'd have an end to this insane ongoing conflict, and a deadly-strong message sent to all present and future haters who want to rub Israel off the map.

The world is finally starting to see what is really going on and getting the courage to speak out about it. Here is a video from UK Parliament and they start mentioning sanctions against Israel this shocked me because the UK always seemed to be a backer of Israel like America.

From the vid

Hitting humanitarian centers is a war crime

I wonder if that'll ever be pursued?

I see someone drinking their coffee.

Hey, it didn't happen... but what did happen was her chuckling at Joe's joke about being such a supporter of Israel that he could have been given a key to the city of Tel Aviv but she wasn't laughing about innocent death.

Of course the UN will charge them with war crimes but thanks to America will do nothing about it. Every time they pass a resolution against Israel how does the US vote?

Oh the IRONY...

On the one hand, we have an open border with illegal immigrants flooding in,... some of them CHILDREN,... so our Gov. cries: IT'S A HUMANITARIAN CRISIS!!...
Yet that same Gov. backs a country that is killing CHILDREN wholesale because they say there are rockets stored near them and ,.. well Isreal has a right to defend itself...

What if a child crossing the border illegally had a bomb strapped to them...

Would that give us the right to start mowing them down on sight?...

If you ask Isreal, I would guess they would say yes and our Gov. would have to agree...

I'm not suggesting at all that she was laughing at death...for some reason I just got the impression that she may have had a giggle spell upon her...they happen at the worst time...I was not suggesting she was cold hearted...

I understand you were making an observation but she didn't have a giggle spell, she was chuckling at Joe's joke for a few seconds and then drank the coffee.

I sincerely hope Gunness and the UN have learned a valuable lesson: Never ... EVER ... allow the sanctity of your operations to be compromised.

There have been rockets stored in UN schools (I don't hear anyone denying it). Ambulances have been used to transport Hamas 'terrorists' (I've seen video showing it).

If the leadership of Hamas had half a lick of sense, they'd accept a cease fire long enough for the international community to investigate and address the OP's issues. But, noooo. They're gonna keep playing their losing hand, and were gonna keep seeing thread after thread after thread of this same ol' same ol'.

What's the agenda here? If you repeat the line long enough we're all gonna start believing this is as one-sided as it's being made out to be?

Vacant UN buildings were used as Hamas' weapon storage and when inspections were done the weapons were discovered and immediately turned over. But what's that have to do with a UN building that didn't house weapons or Hamas, just refugees? Just because Hamas took advantage of empty UN buildings gives Israel the right to bomb all UN buildings, even after being warned 17 times by the UN to not bomb it?

How about you recognize Israel is in the complete wrong here? How come Israel is always free from any responsibility of their actions?

What a cop out. But I'm not surprised because it's a popular trend to hold no gov't and it's leaders responsible for anything... well anything important. So lets break this trend and start holding them responsible. It's so easy to hold Hamas responsible for everything but it's never easy to hold Israel responsible for anything other than sunshine and kittens.

The war on Gaza is as 1 sided as it gets. The agenda is clear. I have no illusions that the minds of die hard Israel supporters will ever be changed. These threads aren't for you because your minds are made up. And just to be clear, Hamas is despicable but thankfully the Palestinian people don't support them so hopefully they'll be out of power very soon.

Since Hamas is immune to condemnation from the UN for their role in deliberately placing civilians in the midst of this conflict, I think the IDF should immediately withdraw their forces from Gaza, and let the rockets continue to rain down on Israeli civilians.

In the interim, the UN should send in a special task force to deal with Hamas militants, their weapons depots, missile launchers, and underground tunnels. The UN task force must be cautious not to harm any civilians though, even if they are being fired upon from civilian areas.

Once the task is accomplished, both sides can begin negotiating the framework for a peace treaty.

Israeli professor's 'rape as terror deterrent' statement draws ire

The UN never condemns Hamas? Are you saying the UN building that was bombed by the IDF was all Hamas' fault? Again, people ignore the facts and just blame Hamas, an on going theme in this thread and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict in general.

I know.
And this is undeniable testimony, to the intelligent design that
wicked people have employed so carefully, in the making of this
world. Good people who would do something about this and
ultimately them? Are stiffled and kept silent or just liquidated.
If they're crafty enough to become a nuisance to the agenda.
While politicians sit in seats of inscrutable power.

And pretend to care.

All of Heaven is watching as man makes a total mockery of his
own existence. This is human sacrifice people. Nothing more
nothing less.
