Simply just don't do anything that would allow someone to put you in a cage would be a good defense against these tyrants.
There is still a very small chance that someone could build some sort of bogus case against you if they were out to get you.
Just know your friends is a good defense as well, if your friends do questionable things, you just might get thrown into the same lot.
