IMHO i only see two scenarios where there will be peace on Gaza.
1: Palestine and Israel come to terms and stop being hostile towards each other. (we all know this isn't going to happen)

2. Because Israel is the superior power here: Israel does what it has always wanted to do to begin with and exterminate every Palestinian in the area.

While i don't agree with the 2nd scenario, i'm being realistic and that's probably the event to occur in the future.

Perhaps this is one of the main reasons so many are against Israel!! You see our government, and i don't mean the U.S.A. I am speaking of the World's government, tends to carry on its indoctrination of Anti Israel, Antisemitism , Anti Jew call it whatever you want, but the bias here against the State of Israel is unrelenting and undeniable!

Personally, I believe both sides have some responsibility, but Israel are acting pretty reprehensibly right now. They warn people before bombing their houses, which tells me they know exactly what they're doing and bombing of schools and hospitals was not an accident.

It seems like the conflict is based on a number of key questions which in the main are relatively petty: Who started it (or who was the first aggressor), who is entitled to the land? Are they terrorists? When the only question people should be thinking about is how can peace possibly be achieved?

I'd argue that technically the British and the French started the whole thing with the secretive non-democratic Sykes-Picot agreement, but I doubt anyone will be calling for them to take responsibility. It's a bit hypocritical to me that this is seen as a legitimate war based on 'democratisation' of Palestine when there was limited democratic practice used in the creation of Israel. Even the countries that agreed to it were heavily bribed and the Muslim countries never agreed to it.

On entitlement, I'd say no-one is entitled to it. The idea that a group of people are entitled to a piece of land because they lived there a thousand years ago and it says so in some scrolls found in a cave is asisine. It's the same on both sides though, if people weren't indoctrinated to believe the land was holy there might not be such an issue.

In the past, despite being democratically elected, both sides have acted like terrorists, they've all terrorised innocent people caught up in the conflict regardless of what they have to say in their defence. That was one of the comical things about Sean Hannity; deriding that man for rationalising the murder of Israelies when he frequently does the same about the murder of Palestinians.

The worrying thing is that both countries seem to have given up on the idea of peace. It needs a real influential, diplomatic leader to come in who both sides respect. I don't even know if anyone like that exists, but it's certainly not John Kerry.

It is their job to point out when other nations commit war crimes and crimes against humanity. Are you saying Israel should be above the law? Why because they cry about how they have been persecuted over the ages? If that's true then there are many groups that can say the same thing. Christians have been persecuted since it started. Blacks have been use as slaves throughout history. Native Americans were almost wiped out in the theft of America. Muslims can also say it because they have been attacked since it started as well.

I hate this whole damn conflict. Neither side are good guys. They are both bad guys and if you side with either side over the other, you are buying into some sort of propaganda.

It's okay to be against he policies of the Israeli Government, especially in regards to the Palestinians.

That's not the same as being anti semitic or anti Jew or anti Israel.

I don't like to do It, but the way Israel treats the Palestinians does have some small Parallels to how the Nazi's treated jewish people and other minorities pre world war two.

It is horrible the way the Israeli Government treats the Palestinians, takes their lands, denies them human rights and kills them indiscriminately. They should be held accountable and Netanyahu as a leader in Israel should take a heavy brunt of that criticism. However, just like in America, Israel is a Democracy with many others in government and the military that should take just as much of the blame.
