Do you know how hard it is not to dwell in the past?
Where many memories were formed and made to last
Brain slowly ticks and shifts like an old clock
The gears keep turning, you can't make it stop
Something reaches in and takes the real you
Made you into a shell that seems always blue
You can put the mask on if you like
You can't really hide tho..this is life
Facing this type of a reality hell
Make it through .. Tryin to be swell
I know we are here to enjoy this day
My mind plays tricks .. Just wants to play
Damaged brain is causing me grief
I just wanna escape and not be brief
Then my eyes open wide
I begin of course to realize
This is my book in the book of life
I will have struggles and I will have strives
Keep bursting out the rain from my lil eyes
I can always gaze deep at the endless sky
I've gotta be a positive light to others
We are all connected like sisters and brothers
I ask the dark cloud that hovers above thee
