That's a very good point. But we wouldn't potentially know for many months at least. He gave so much information to the Guardian, that they'll just release it, piece by little piece. Everyone assumes Snowden's alive because the information he gave over seems so current.

That's what I'm thinking. Greenwald wouldn't sit on information like that for long. Besides, we're talking about Edward Snowden. There's no telling how many safeguards he has in place in the event of capture or death. He knows what he's up against, and the NSA knows what information will be released upon said events. They can't afford to play that game right now.
