Please note... the more we look into this story the more we find it seems to be and un-researched pieced together fabrication...
I will leave my original post as is, because that was my gut talking when I first saw this story...
But Now I'm pissed--- mostly at myself--- for not seeing this for what is-- More political BS to sway option

reply to butcherguy: good call. Better call? I've never been in the military so I just go by what you guys say. But yes it seems that would save ammo. Maybe a good gunner guy man dude person could let off a short burst, and move on to another target if he was confident that his shots would find their target. At least that's what II do in my video games sometimes.

we've figured out the photo is at least three years old... he's on a fixed wing aircraft not a helicopter... So, e's not doing anything constructive at the moment that I know of...

Oooooh! Yeah my mom (may her soul rest in peace) used to wear those weird jeans when they were in fashion in the 80s and early 90s. Never understood them. My wife wears jeans and sacks cut like that...It's hard for me to describe but it's like the front part where the zipper is---is taller and flatter than on normal jeans...

My guess is it Hides the tummy bump--- thus Mom-Jeans

OP took this out of context. When they are firing .50 cals across our border at our border patrol to allow (give) people time to get across (not just children). I would be appreciative of Rick Perry assessing the situation on whether to send the guard down there or whatever the other options he has available. Now as to him leaning on the "big bad gun". If it was you, would you lean on it for a photo op?
