Perhaps it's because many of his early critics on the right seemed to have some racial motivation of somekind (the whole birther thing) the failure of the right-wing to distance themselves from those wing-nuts has now left your flank open; especially when your accusations rely on making a big deal about the kinds of bull# presidents have been doing for the past 30 years, it comes off as being selective.

It should be noted that the muslim brotherhood is/was one of the more popular political movements in egypt.

If you cannot understand why the US government sought to support the new government of egypt following a revolution there, then I guess you don't know much about politics. Egypt is an important state in the middle-east, it controls the suez canal and can be useful in negotiations, or acting as an intermediary between the US and unfriendly countries.

there was a meeting between some of the leadership of the muslim brotherhood and white house officials. This took place when the muslim brotherhood was in charge of egypt.

If I'm understanding what you're saying, its that the president shouldn't bother recongizing an organization in charge of a government that controls a great deal of the worlds trade, and furthermore shouldn't try to smooth things over with that organization through diplomacy

hmm.. hamas is the democratically elected party of palestine.

so, by egypt handing over some territory to hamas, they might be a little more accepting of the sort of two-state solution israel is willing to take.

furthermore, it would in some respects help to smooth over our currently bad relationship with the islamic world, who really isn't too keen on us. This actually sounds like a very wise move from a realpolitik perspective.

Actually, the only real solution for us in the mid east is to just say NO! We don't need to meddling in any of their affairs, and that includes Israel. They have an army, let them defend themselves.

Can you explain how someone who isn't a citizen of a particular country can be charged with treason against said country. Not that I like Clinton or Obama, I just find this to be a bunch of noise that won't do anything and will be forgotten in a week (if that).
