RT is owned by the Russian government. Saying they are bias is the equivalent of reading a CIA newspaper in Russia. Do you think it's bias? Maybe just a little bit? A lot of people like to say Alex Jones is an Israeli agent but I've been listening to him for a long time. I shouldn't even bring this up as I do like the guy and enjoy his program... but if you said to me for one million dollars you have one guess who does he work for? Guess what my answer would be, Russia. The amount of RT articles he references is bewildering. You can go to prisonplanet right now and see RT posted all over the place. Ask yourself how Mr. America with his megaphone doesn't seem to notice or comment on it? There is never any mention of it in fact an RT article is just taken as fact as if this is a trusted source. Your news station it's 100% bs but RT oh hell naw they are real news!

Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the reporting done at Russia Today;

How The Truth Is Made At Russia Today

It's an in-depth article, well worth the read.

I have always liked Sarah Firth , and she is a very attractive woman also.

But what she needs to remember (and I suspect she is fully aware) that she can stay with RT (unlikely now) and spread Putin's lies,

Or she can move to the BBC and spread Cameron's lies - we could go on and on for each country.

But in my opinion ( and I am but a humble armchair warrior) is that she has been "turned" by either western intelligence , or someone equally involved on Russia's "opposing side" has convinced her to publicly state this view.

Smoke and mirrors - and remember propaganda is legal!

Absolutely! No one should ever try to think for themselves, it's dangerous, but trust only safe, established media brands. Only State Department approved media brands should be taken as fact, regardless of what is actually said.

Because RT is in fact Russian, everything they say is a lie, and can only be a lie, because they are owned by the government. Not only that, but a Russian government, which can only be evil. They are so evil, they even make profit on it, and pay salaries to all kinds of international reporters to sell their lies.

RT is some sort of twisted, industrialized lie factory, the literal cult of lies. Their job interviews must begin with how well applicants can lie with a straight face, and the main requirement is that since they were small children they always aspired to lie to as many people as possible.

Considering the sheer amount of RT material in various languages, RT has assembled the largest army of pathological lairs ever.

Since RT is a global news media outlet, soon they will spread all over the world, and then we'll have to keep up with which countries to ban forever from the world of truth.

What actual information any of RT programs are attempting to push, does not matter at all, because if it has an RT logo on it, it's this simple; it's a state sponsored lie.

Also drink only Pepsi, because everything that is branded by the evil Coca Cola company is just that, evil. It is evil because their logo is red, and devil is red, therefore it's bad. Pepsi is blue, and against Coca Cola, therefore they are good, so drink only Pepsi, and don't trust Coca Colas lies!

Down with Red Coca Cola! Red is bad!

Blue is good, blue is NATO and EU, red is Russia and China, so drink Pepsi and don't believe into Red lies.

Also it would be good to remove the red striped from the American flag and replace them with blue stripes, because remember, red is bad, blue is good.

I agree with you, Russia is completely anti Semitic, just look at how Putin persecutes Jewish businessmen and bankers. He puts them in jail, steals their money, and shuts down their banks.

And just look at Ukraine fighting for its freedom! Ukrainian President Poroshenko is a successful Jewish oligarch that owns a multibillion chocolate business and his own Television News Media company, while Jewish Dnepropetrovsk Governor Mr. Kolomoyski is not only an oligarch and a banker that also owns Television News Media companies, but he also owns his own private army that is currently fighting against Russian terrorists! Kievs very own mayor is also Jewish, a world boxer Mr Klichko, and currently he is removing all those Russian FSB agents that are trying to stir up all kinds of anti-goverrnemtn trouble at Maidan. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yatsenyuk is also Jewish, also a banker, and an attorney! Just the top four of the new Ukrainian leaders are Jewish, attorney bankers, with private armies. That in comparison to Russia, where not a singe banker can have his won army, not even if he is Jewish, and that is unacceptable Antisemitism.

One just has to compare and look at the difference on how poor, horrible and anti Semitic Russia is, versus flourishing Ukrainian Democracy, which is fighting for its freedom under brilliant guidance of its Jewish leaders.

Go Ukraine! Go Israel! One and together against war and world tyranny!

Exactly what I've been saying
. Ukraine is the new Israel and you won't hear much bad talk about Israel or Ukraine on any news media for a reason.

As far a RT; No doubts they are biased just like FOX, CNN, MSNBC, etc.. For this anchor to make these claims, she needs to back them up and tell which "lies" she is talking about. Otherwise, she just sounds like a mad, ex-employee who knew she was getting shown the door. Ex-employees will say some terrible, untrue things.

Russia Today is idiotic propaganda, i'm immune to it after 15 years of the same propaganda style here in Venezuela where the employ exactly the same agenda of "it's always their fault, always" as the reporter says.

Of course RT has propaganda in it. It's state media, not terribly different than the big American media, though they tend to run a wider variety of stories.

What this really shows, though, is that the Russian state has less control over it's journalists than the American state does. Anderson Cooper isn't going to quit and say he's been running propaganda for the state, even though we all know he (and everyone else on cnn, fox, msnbc) is.

I actually like RT better than any of our own american or canadian news stations myself. I began to casually watch RT after seeing a tea party protest I attended aired by them, back when the MSM here was ignoring it completely, long before it was hijacked by the scum. The only other station that covered it was a local news crew.

These days, no MSM is any more trustworthy or dependable than any other really, but RT does seem to cover a lot of topics that interest me that just don't get any coverage anywhere else at all.

All of the large MSM have been caught outright lieing, editing and remixing sound and video to suit an agenda etc etc.

They are employing Americans as journalists (or some other nationalities). These are not Russian citizens living behind the iron curtain. Most just read the BS put in front of them, not unlike a certain Fox news outlet.

I agree, RT supporters are registering like crazy, they must be stopped. Their IPs must be tracked, cataloged, categorized as hostiles, and permanently banned.

Anybody supporting RT defenders should also be isolated, identified, and processed.

If they are located in Continental united States, their information must be reported to DHS as potential terrorists.

ATS recruitment tool must be honed towards attracting only RT attackers, so we can insult RT together with out interference. If it was any other way, I would not have registered.

RT is STUUUPEEEED!

Russians are blood thirsty lairs!

Putin is a murdering Nazi Fascist tyrant that hates gays!

Russian chicks are hot though, so we'll just have to deal with that...

I have to say RT is always worth a look to get another perspective.
The truth lies between both sides.

This outlook amazes me, especially amongst ATS members.

Do you (rhetorical you) have a misplaced affinity for the outrageous propaganda from Russia Today simply because it fits in with your world-view having been inspired by conspiracy theories that are (mostly) specific to the United States?

Seriously?

Russia Today is indeed much worse than other news sources as it's charter owes to the Russian government, and it's completely funded by the Russian government.

People: it should be treated no better than Sorcha Faal or websites that do nothing but spout UFO hoaxes.

Don't follow Russia Today simply because they say crap you like -- then you're no better than the bleating hoard that follows/believes FoxNews.

More amazing, is the fact that anyone who watched these programs from a real OUTSIDE OUTLOOK , would realize that they ARE better than ANY of the agencies that you support and trust.

MOST amazingly, is that you , as an owner of a site and that even claims to be skeptical, only is skeptical of those whom you are programmed to automatically dislike.

Shall I say what REALLY shocks me, but I find that many of your posts are like reading someone who has actually NEVER thought outside of the box, and does not realize that fact at all!!

thanks but i'll decide for myself.

Then you've decided to parrot Russian propaganda. Sorry to be harsh, but it's true.

As have a growing number of recent members to this site. ATS has become a dissemination outlet for Russian propaganda. It's quite sickening.

Yeah, when the Russian propaganda is actually far easier to stomach than the flat out LIES and ignorance displayed in the USUAL media outlets, HOW SICKENING.

Like OMG man, we might actually hear something with truth or a different spin, LIKE RUN!!!

There is a big problem with most, if not all mainstream news sources. They all have bias, and RT is one of them. The Russian news sometimes might give some real news that are worth to read, but most of the time it is a spin that Putin and his regime want to spread. Unfortunately, it is the way media works today. They sell out to their respective regimes.

The worse part is that a lot of people have fallen, and continue to fall for the lies of media like RT, and MSNBC among others. I understand a lot of times it is hard to differentiate the truth from the lies, but... Let me give a good example of how a lot of people fell for the lies of Putin and his regime, including the Russian media. The takeover of Crimea. I mean, for crying out loud, Russian and pro-Russian troops took over the Crimean parliament by force with armed soldiers, and the first thing they did was to take down "completely" the Crimean flag and flew ONLY the Russian flag "before" Crimeans were "allowed to vote"...

Even though this came out in the news, we had a lot of members claim that "the Crimeans had chosen freely to be ruled by Russia" when that wasn't the case. Not only did the Russian military and pro-Russian armed forces took over the Crimean parliament "armed and by force" but they did the same to Crimean airports, including of course military airports.

The ironic part is that Putin claimed that "the pro-Russian military, and Russian military forces were not intervening on the affairs of Crimea". A lot of people, even in these forums unfortunately, agreed with the false claims of Putin when it should have been obvious what was happening. A lot of people did not want to see what was in front of their faces. When a military from another country takes over by "force" the parliament, other executive buildings, they take over airports, and sets roadblocks throughout another country with armed forces, that is the definition of "military intervention".

When it comes to news these days unfortunately people have to do "a lot of research" to find the truth. For the most part we can't take news at face value since there will be bias.

It is not at all difficult for NWO to bribe a journalist to condemn Russia.

Why did this lady join RT in the first place?

No news organization is an epitome of truth. This simply does not happen. Why RT should be one.

This kind of news is pure propaganda. How is this even news?

People are forgetting that USA and Russia are practically at war at this time. The propaganda is at a very heightened level. Every single news is politicized.

I advise readers to keep emotions aside and bring reason to the fore.

Yeah it's not like there was ever a threat of pulling the broadcast licenses of media here when it doesn't meet the agenda

Just one example

I wish there was a five-pack cluster you could give for
that kind of post Bilk.
It's the same thing with the Academia and co-opted
science.. if the result doesn't toe the line the grant's
pulled.
I guess things have degenerated almost everywhere to
the point (if) you want a great paying job in the media,
you need to be limber enough to bend over backwards
and kiss a heel.
If for no other reason-- good on Sara for her personal
price going up.

Err... Are you claiming that there are no "Americans" who would work for foreign news agencies?... Heck, there have been Americans who were found to have worked for leftwing dictatorial regimes like the communist regime of the castro brothers in Cuba. As the case of the American journalist who worked for the Russian media and Putin's regime? What in the world makes you think that can't happen?... It has happened to people who were working for other news media as well...
