So many great covers of this song. Rancid's version during the Free Tibet concert is hands down my favorite. Stop at (1:22) to see MCA and Biz Markie dancing! Just some great times in our past. Gives a little bit of light in these dark days to come!

Also why do we not see this kind of activism today? Why don't people rally to save their brothers and sisters from oppressive regimes?

But you really can't beat the original. Thanks for sharing Voidhawk, I actually had not seen that studio session and I definitely enjoyed it.

And to _BoneZ_, that is an interesting version, but it doesn't make me want to jump up and dance!

True, but Nelly Furtado's voice just makes me melt every time. And when I saw your title, of course that Nelly song popped right into my fron (head).

I'm a daily lurker, I don't usually have much to contribute. But time to update my avatar and get back in this. Not a bad time with all the flight MH17 and Gaza strip drama unfolding today.
