There's nothing wrong with making a profit. There is something wrong with bribing public officials to win contracts and to look the other way though. There's also something wrong with knowingly skirting embargoes to make a buck. Or how about funding propaganda machines to manipulate the public into dispatching the impediments to your profit? How about poisoning people's water?

Money doesn't make a person inherently good or bad. It just so happens that a LOT of really terrible folks get rich because they'll often do the s# that everyone else finds ethically repugnant, detrimental to the public as a whole or just downright CRIMINAL.

If I went to my neighbor's house right now and knowingly dumped toxic chemicals all over his yard, I'd get arrested. If Georgia Pacific does it to an entire community, they pay a fine.

If the Repubs have lost so many seats, then how are they still in control of the House of Representatives? Because they are still the Majority. Dems hold the Senate because they hold a Majority.

Even some DNC strategists are saying that the DNC is going to far left and alienating their base, like the Unions.

Back on topic though, most people of today would have a hard time passing a eight graders test of the late 1800's.

It's all learning by rote these days. If you can memorize something, you are supposedly educated and can move on to college. The education system is totally broken these days.

Not to many schools have FFA, Auto, wood and metal shops, etc...etc. Home Ec is even dying out. Those classes at least taught a skill, for dumb and smart alike.
