This creature I have only seen dead as many of you have who have paid attention to the El Chupacabra stories.. The reason I am posting this is for you to look at the way the thing feeds and it's forepaws... It feeds like a Raccoon and not a dog. I have never seen a shaved Raccoon and maybe this is one with mange. I really don't know... Interesting seeing the thing alive either way; enjoy.

TEXAS (INTELLIHUB) —A Texas family claims that they’ve captured the mythical “El Chupacabra” creature that has been the suspect of livestock killings for centuries.

Jackie Stock said her husband caught the creature Sunday night.

“He called me to come and look, and I said, ‘Bubba, that looks like a baby Chupacabra,‘” said Stock.

Neighbor Arlen Parma, the person who captured the creature, is convinced the animal is a Chupacabra.

Did you hear that guy say it was some form of canine? Have you ever seen a dog pig up food with its front paws and eat it?

That thing had an awesome growl.

Possibly however that was brought up in the video and the vocalization this creature makes is supposedly very unlike a raccoons. I have had friends with pet Raccoons when I was growing up (or rather pets until they got big and mean).. I do not remember them making any other sounds other than some cat sounds and the tribbling -1sp they made at times.. Guess I never saw one pissed off. ?

I agree the forepaws and the way the thing eats points to a raccoon though.

I'd say that, without a doubt, that is a raccoon. The use of it's forepaws is a dead giveaway. You can also see tufts of gray fur still clinging to the body, as well as a bit of light colored fur and whiskers around the snout. Also, they mentioned they found it up in a tree.

Agreed.

These stories have been popping up for years now. I've lived in Texas for over a decade and have seen this exact same story played over and over. Some dudes capture a mange raccoon and spin it to the local news that they've got the "Chupacabra"!

I dont know what it is with Texas and our case of mange raccoon's, but they always end up as "Chupacabra" capture stories that make it on the local news.

Unless it sucks the blood of goats,
it´s not a chupacabra.

That video is amazing...Living proof that Marge Simpson actually exists...

On a more serious note and as a veterinarian surgeon, I can certify that this animal is not part of the canine species... Otherwise prove me wrong and tell me that some dogs have longer prehensile digits such as those portrayed in the video?

This animal is a racoon with a serious sarcoptic mange or genetic depilation issue... another link here :

The only way to really find out which species group this animal belongs to is by DNA sampling

Yeah...classic official debunking. He is the expert people...make way. A canine he says...jesus all mighty. That sh** just makes me mad. And than after you have an army of nimrods spewing out the same nonsense they heard on TV. It's a doooog. Dog that stands on his back legs and eats with his front legs...

awesome expert.

Yeah.. i have to agree with others.. Raccoon with mange.

What's funny is the person they consulted said it was a canine.. then cut to video of it sitting using it's hands to eat food

The only interesting "chupacabra" video i've ever seen was the police dashcam. It looks like a dog, then turns it's head and it's head is insanely long.

Here are some raccoon sounds. The growl sort of sounds like the raccoon purr.

Every week there is at least one...out there on the net. I guess this mange thing is becoming something of an epidemic.

Besides...that redneck in the video said that it had no raccoon "voice"...and since I saw what the "expert" says...I'm willing to trust this redneck guy a bit more...

If they are catching these things more often, I'm starting to wonder if maybe it isn't some off-shoot of the raccoon?

It's possible isn't it?

I didn't watch the whole clip as I felt so sorry for that poor creature they caught. It is scared and has actually done nothing to warrant its capture. So if I am saying something that s addressed in the clip I apologise. The best thing to do is to bring it to a vet and have it treated [for mange] or even better, let it go.
The woman is completely coo-coo BTW.

I too believe that this is a raccoon suffering from mange.

As far as the vocalizations go, I have this sort of noise come from a raccoon... and many other noises as well.

Then there is the guy that says this is a canine. That is just silly.

Look at the hindquarters of the animal in the cage, look at its tail where is connects to the body, look at the way that it moves and look at the way it eats. All things that say 'raccoon' to me. And I have skinned more than a few of them.
