Vicar of Christ (from Latin Vicarius Christi) is a term used in different ways, with different theological connotations throughout history. As the original notion a vicar is of "earthly representative of God or Christ" but also used in sense of "person acting as parish priest in place of a real person"[1] The title is now used in Catholicism to refer to the bishops[2] and more specifically to the Bishop of Rome (the pope).[3]

Vicarius is a Latin word, meaning substitute.
title Vicarius Christi, meaning the Vicar of Christ.


Before i go any farther we can assume that Vicar of Christ; or Vicarius Christi; means the same thing as Substitute for the Son of God, or Substitute of Christ.
Because apparently they Believe in the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. And as the legend goes Christ was the Son of God.




Whell We can establish that Vicarius Filii Dei(Substitute for the Son of God.) means the same thing as his other title, Vicarius Christi.
It has been said that Vicarius Filii Dei is not an official title of the pope; but in History:

The Donation of Constantine was cited in writing by no less than 10 Popes as proof of their civil authority and sovereignty over Rome, and what came to be known as the Papal States, which included a large portion of Italy. It was also eventually exposed as a pious fraud in 1440 by Laurentius Valla who proved the donation had to have been written several centuries after the death of Constantine (337 A.D.) The Vatican condemned Valla's scholarly work by listing it in the Index Librorum Prohibitorum, the Index of Prohibited Books of 1559 (a 1569 printing at Google books), and as late as 1580 the official edition of the Corpus Juris upheld the genuineness of the False Decretals. So the Donation of Constantine was held to be genuine for centuries.

Catholics finally abandoned the defense of the authenticity of the Donation of Constantine shortly after Cesare Baronius published his Annales Ecclesiastici in 1592, which admitted the fraud, although the Donation and title Vicarius Filii Dei continued to appear in Canon law and other Catholic publications well into the 19th century.



Look up in Strong's Concordance word 473 in the Greek dictionary. You will find the the word anti is often used to denote substitution-

473. anti, an-tee'; a prim. particle; opposite, i.e. instead or because of (rarely in addition to):--for, in the room of. Often used in composition to denote contrast, requital, *substitution*, correspondence, etc.

So basically, we need to remember that the New Testament was written in Greek.

If Vicarius equals substitute, and Anti Means substitution; What does Vicarius Christi really mean?

The Pope stands in league with a King. A king also only answers to God and can not be judged by the common law of man.

Are there three different Kings on earth that proclaim to be Gods substitue on earth. The Pope is also a king or will have the power as a king with the beast for one hour.

There are three 6's that add up to 666. One of the 6'es are the ten kings. The other 6 is the whore. The third 6 is the beast in revelation.

These 6'es will prosecute the people who will not worship/fallow the political Hierocracy.

Anti Christ means someone who is against Christ.

The Pope is not against Christ. Catholics are not against Christ, they are for Christ. Although I don't think anything I say will convince you of that.

1John 2:18 says there have been many antichrists

1John clearly defines the antichrist as any person who is against Christ.

The word antichrist only appears 4 times in the new testament, all in 1&2nd John, all define antichrist as any and all persons who do not acknowledge the "soul saving" of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. All versus imply that there is not one but many who were/will be/and are antichrists.

Since the word antichrist only appears in the Bible in this context, trying to place it in any other context is extra-biblical.

NIV (but still only found 4 times in the King James and other versions)

1 John 2:18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.

1 John 2:22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

2 John 1:7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Take note:
the antichrist is a spirit that "infects" the world.
It is not a single person, but an idea, the idea of denying Jesus Christ's divinity.

Don't bash Christians who are not of "your" particular "brand" or "style" of Christianity, in this time of great persecution of Christians world wide, and now with it beginning in the US,

Christians need to go back to the bible and to the one and only command that Jesus gave to the world "love your neighbor as yourself"

Christians who are true followers will love and support their fellow Christians no matter what denomination, high church, contemporary, pentecostal, gospel, that is what Jesus commands us to do, love one another, not tear down one another,

tearing down, bashing Christians is the work of the spirit of antichrist, not that of a disciple of Christ

My problem with this is as such:

Organized religion. Period. The worst ill that has ever been thrust on mankind,

All of mankinds ills basically revert back to religion, or religious divisions... the key word being divisions...

God created us all. We created religions to rationalize our concept of God and have been paying for that in blood ever since.

The anti-christ stories are man's stories. An old Gnostic text with lost meaning.

Rome only has power as long as we give her power... plain and simple.

But in revelation one of the Beasts IS the 8th King after the deadly head wound was healed., so this gives us another clue to which the number 666 refers to the beast and One Man.

In the present moment there have been seven kings of the Roman church since after the first pope that signed the lateral treaty in
1929, each one with the same titles. when the lateral treaty signed by mussolini granted the vatican as a soveriegn city state, wherein the pope is king.

The theory goes, is that 1929 was when the "Deadly head wound." was healed.

Explain the 1 inquistions in the Dark ages where millions of christians were murdered by the roman catholic church; as well as 2 No Bibles were allowed to be in any language other than latin with a strict penalty of death. Also explain this picture of one of the popes kissing the Quran where he said islam is another faith through abraham one can attain salvation.

Please explain how the roman Catholic church is not against christ after you have researched the Above 3 things.

Just as John the Baptist had come in the spirit and power of elijah;
so to has the pope(s) come in the spirit and power of the antichrist.

Look within? I can tell you what is within.

Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

These were never in the Bible; instead they were adopted by the roman catholic church.
Also they changed the ten commandments. With jesus' Commandment that should make eleven.
Catholics have 9 commandments with the 9th one split into 2 making it a tenth.

Remeber jesus came to fulfill the law, not destroy it.

Since the pope Kissed the Quran and said it was a way to attain salvation; does that mean that he denys christ in some way?? Seeing as noone Comes to the Father Except through Him and All.

In a sense it does, Because research shows that Allah was a moon god, a renamed Babylonian God.... And even Muhammed himself had admitted that he believed, for a while, that Satan had visited him (which he later called Gabriel.)

This is what happened in the Dark Ages when only members of the church were allowed to know Latin, and Bibles Were not printed in languages Other than Latin without punishment of excommunication, Torture, And Execution. (this continued until the printing press was invented and used; and even so they would still burn each and every bible they could get they're hands on.)

That means that the bible is the Most suppressed Information in the History of the entire world.

The great city is the political hierocracy of the beast as a whole. The whore sits on top, the ten horns / ten kings sit bellow. But all three do buisness together. The whore does buisness with all of them.

THe whore, the ten kings and the Beast must be the beast (666) which will do the prosecution. You will not see the Pope doing the procecution of millions on he's own. The beast "the people" will be do the prosecution and killing. The once who fallow the beast sytem. On top of this power structure that sets this in motion you will find: The 10 horns, the ten kings and the whore.

I dont understand what you are saying, The Bible clearly states that the woman is a City; one which sits on seven hills.

The ancient city of Rome was originally built on the topographical layout of seven separate hills. These seven hills were joined together by the ancient walls of Rome- the Servian walls. The Seven Hills of Rome lie in the east to the Tiber River. Later many more areas were annexed to the city. The city walls were extended to include them also and the city is now much bigger than its original territory. The Vatican and Vatican hill are included in the Areas that were added to the city much later in history.

The seven hills are, namely:

The Quirinal Hill

The Aventine Hill

The Caelian Hill

The Viminal Hill

The Capitoline Hill

The Esquiline Hill

The Palatine Hill

In My Catholic Bible, it says in the footnotes 7 hills; of Rome.
Also in The Footnotes of their own Bible it says "the Great city. called Egypt and sodom ; Symbolic Jerusalem The rejects God and his witnesses i.e Rome, called BABYLON.

They already persecuted millions of christians in the dark ages, headed by the pope.
So we have already seen this before.

I think the Pope has the power to bring about antichrist thinking (if he tells people they don't need Christ as an example). He has a great deal of influence so if anything he would be a conduit. I think this particular Church has seen some infiltration from the dark side. No denying that.

if you scower the internet you can find members of the church themselves claiming that the "Prince of Darkness." is present within the walls.

This verse is referring to a single entity as the Antichrist as well as acknowledging that many people are also Antichrist. It says "The Antichrist" (The One who is above the rest) is coming. The rest of them are simply the product of this particular entity.

Also just so you guys arent confused, i know that there is a typo in the first picture where it says 201 instead of 501;
It was the only pic i could find that had only that name on it,.

I dont have a problem with obama, but also i dont care for him either.
I Like the guy he seems nice, but i dont like some of the things he says, and does, also i dont like how his administration will play the Race card when you disagree with them. but to be fair i dont like the republican side of politics either. so really im nuetral in the whole thing.

I know most people probably would of thought that this thread was an obama antichrist thread, but its not.
