Elizabeth Warren, Progressives Head for Detroit

We had a recent thread about how Obama was going to diss HIllary and support Liz Warren for the democratic nomination.

Detroit is hosting a progressive meeting of the minds.....and lots of liberals will be attending.
Flat out labeling Warren a progressive tells me she is [much] further left than HIllary....and those in attendance tell me who her likely supporters will be.

The last paragraph may be telling, too.
Will HIllary not run?
Does she think she can avoid this influential group...or that she doesn't need their support?

Does the Democratic party think Liz stands a better chance for POTUS?

It really doesn't matter to me which puppet is the face of our monster as long as it isn't hillary. She's done enough, or some may say in light of benghazi done far too little. At any rate she isn't suitable as a world leader and it's shocking she has gotten this far in her "career"

It's either Hillary isn't running, and I don't buy that for a dollar, or she has it wrapped up and doesn't need to attend.

I tend to agree with Intrepid. She's running and thinks she has it made (as do I). Not enough people know Warren.

This may be a ploy by the Clinton camp to get the attention of Dem's because Warren is really scary.

If this is true then the socialist/communist agenda has completely taken over the Democratic party.

The idea of Warren as POTUS with Obama's support...is really scary, sorry for repeating myself but don't know any other way to put it.

Lol, part of me wonders if Hillary isn't the decoy candidate... Get every one focused on her, and then put the real candidates out!

Seriously though, Warren will have a tough time. She defined herself by taking on big banks and the like. The last candidate the Dems had who focused on US poverty issues was John Edwards, and he got destroyed while Obama was carried in. I'm pretty cynical about the whole thing, I don't think the TPTB like candidates who focus too much on the elite money players, because when they get in Washington the reversal from their campaign message is too obvious, and it reveals too much of the rot going on there. But we'll see.

Aside from the Warren/Clinton debate, why does it seem like Detroit is the Jekyll Island for todays rotten politicians?

The Democrats aren't stupid and they know Hillary isn't going to run with her health issues. They will trot out some charismatic Hispanic prettyboy or one of the old guard like Bill Richardson. Anyway it will be a surprise that the GOP won't be able to counter with the "we're not Obama" chant. I think we're aware of that.

I got green money that says it will be a Hispanic from both parties And not to be outdone the GOP will try the Palin gambit once again to try and siphon off some of the female vote with a woman VP. If the GOP tries to field a black man it will be viewed and pandering.

The DNC knows Obama has lost all credibility and won't seek his endorsement for any candidate.

That's the way I see the race shaping up anyway.

Not sure if Liz would get the nod. She is not friendly to big banking and it is hard to do anything in DC that way. Sure she got elected to Congress but that is a different level.

I am guessing she has not been around long enough to be a complete toady yet. I could be wrong. Hillary on the other hand is dyed in the wool establishment.

I feel sorry for the left/progressives/libs/or whatever they want to call themselves if Hillary gets elected. That would be two false prophets in a row.

I don't know much about Liz Warren....except she is not HIllary and she is left of HIllary.
To me, I would want to see her stand of unACA...that is important because healthcare is worse than it was 4 years ago. Not that I want to turn this into a HC debate, but who I vote for depends a great deal on their position on the economy and healtthcare.

Maybe we should all get to know Elizabeth Warren if
she's getting this kind of attention from PACs.
One thing I'd like to know is if she was a card carrying
Communist like HIllary:
until people started pointing it out about the latter who

Regardless who started corporatocracy both parties embrace it now....we should have listened to Eisenhower, but we didn't.

I don't think we'll even stop it totally....but I hope for the future of the Republic....to slow it down...
And, which ever candidate, which ever party, offer real hope for that future would have my vote.

It makes one wonder though, DT... if it under the present
circumstances could be such a great bargaining chit. I've
personally noticed an incumbent recently of his own party
from CO, (name escapes me sorry) not even showing up for
a local fundraiser and staying back in DC.

Wonder in the long haul now, getting shorter toward November

Yeah, and part of the problem is the overly long time we run the presidential elections.....the rest of the world mush laugh.

Now, my state is running for a new governor this November....I think.
Both parties are running uncontested in the primary.....so no campaigning so far.
And, it's nice.
I'm sure after the primary things will pick up, but why the hell do we need to go through this circus for more than two years?????

People are saying that a country without any boarders is not a country.

My question is with the likes of Warren and Hillary and the retreads popping up in the GOP, why is it that this is all we have to choose from.

The only real answer is this is what we as a nation of people have become, we vote them in, that's the scariest thing of all IMO.

It's a bit of a slap in the face to Detroit. The city's rotting away specifically due to decades of management by "Progressive" Democrats and now it seems they are coming to dance on its grave.

As for Warren, she's either a pie eyed idiot herself or a calculating propagandist who's pretty good at managing the pie eyed sheep.
