You just clearly showed what the problem is: Not NASA.

It's Presidents.

NASA has to change things when directed to, or when their funding is changed/slashed.

It's like if you have a child and you tell them you want the driveway cleared of snow and hand them 20 dollars to go buy a snow shovel.
Then before they can get out the door to go get one, you take the 20 dollars away from them and hand them 5 dollars and tell them instead of the driveway, you just want the front porch cleared.

How can you blame the child for what the parents are doing?????

The child could ask for the 20 back, and plan to clear both the porch and the driveway, but if the parents refuse to give that full amount to them, but instead only the 5, they have to deal with it, and do what they can with it.

But you're going to say it's all the child's fault?

Which is what I have stated in my previous posts so im not sure where your confusion is coming from.

They just say things like this to get funding. After they get the money, they become secretive and suppress information that all humans have the right to know. NASA should not get one more cent of taxpayer money. There needs to be a new space agency that is by the people. You cannot depend on the US government to treat citizens as equal because they see us as children or animals. They think that only they have a right to the information. I believe they found evidence of life long ago. There are NASA photos of the moon and Mars that have been airbrushed. What did they airbrush out?

From this post of yours here.

You claim that NASA is "Lost In Space", keep changing their goals, etc.

NASA is not at all secretive. They are about the most open government body you could hope for.

Show me any photos you claim are airbrushed, and I'll show you the originals. A few publicity shots may have been "cleaned up" to get rid of dirt, negative scratches etc etc, or to improve the framing (the famous shot of Buzz Aldrin on the moon is a prime example) but you can always get the untouched original image if you ask.

Read about the story of the "airbrushing" here.

Nothing is being hidden. Sorry if that bores you, but I find the reality of space exploration to be a lot more exciting than fairy stories about little green men.

Yes, NASA has done airbrushing and they are currently doing sophisticated CGI with the Apollo images. Read about the story of how NASA is removing the cross hairs from Apollo images www.abovetopsecret.com...

"There needs to be a new space agency that is by the people." I agree. The NASA administrator should be a nationally elected federal government official, truly independent, not appointed by the executive. That's my really good idea.

So they give you the untouched photo and then one that is cleaned up ... and that is bad?

SOmebody needs to take they're funding away. They are Useless and Arrogant.

Here speaks an expert NOT!!!!!

It is obviously for the Richard Nixon fan club it seems.

It's like Sayonara in a holiday snap in Las Vegas and he is wearing a blue t-shirt if I then take that picture and make his t-shirt green in photoshop it now means Sayonara was never in Las Vegas that's the WARPED logic when dealing with Soyanara and other Moon Hoax believers.

NASA is lost in space. Im not sure where your missing the connection.

this time NASA said something very substantial and it shouldn't be rejected because of other previous motivations.

All of us know there are exo-planets and there are many of them. Good to know there are billions of them, and that NASA scientists get accustomed to the idea of life on them.

My best wishes to NASA to go further on that road!

We Are Not Alone In Universe, NASA Scientists Say

It's highly unlikely we're alone in the universe, NASA experts are saying, and we may be close to finding alien life. In fact, it may happen in the next two decades.

NASA held a panel discussion at the agency's Washington headquarters on Monday, where space experts talked about the search for Earth-like planets that host life. Based on recent advancements in space telescope technology, scientists estimated that in the coming decades we'll confirm suspicions that we're not alone.

"I think in the next 20 years we will find out we are not alone in the universe," NASA astronomer Kevin Hand said in footage filmed at the discussion and posted on YouTube. Check it out in the video above.

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden echoed Hand's sentiment.

"It's highly improbable in the limitless vastness of the universe that we humans stand alone," he said.

Just this year, NASA's Kepler Space Telescope picked up on an Earth-like planet in the "habitable zone" of another star. At the time, the observation of the planet, Kepler-186f, was hailed as the first discovery of an Earth-size planet orbiting in the habitable zone of a star similar to our sun.

Scientists believe there are potentially many more Earth-like planets in the universe -- and some of them could be home to alien life.

I stopped reading right there. Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. NASA's budget is no where near a Trillion dollars. It"s around $17 billion.

The devil is in the detail Jadestar...don't be so quick to round on me, without reading the post properly eh?

TOTAL budget...total...get it?

Since 1958, NASA's TOTAL budget has been around a trillion, it has fluctuated wildly over the decades, the largest annual budget obviously being during the moon shots.

Perhaps you shouldn't have stopped reading, it might have clicked what i meant...

So true. NASA is probably the most open federal agency in the country. One has to wonder the motivation of people who pretend to want answers to the universe's greatest questions but attack an agency with a tiny budget because usually a) they don't understand what they are doing (uneducated), b) don't like what they are doing (for various reasons), c) are gullible and believe Youtube videos from the "woo woo" crowd.

Hmmm...so NASA don't facilitate and perform classified DoD missions then?

Classified missions or secrecy within a supposedly civilian space agency IS motivation enough to want answers, to either the greatest Universal questions, or even the small, mundane ones.

I don't consider multiple billions per annum to be a 'tiny' budget..perhaps to a multi-billionaire it is, but to the average Joe struggling to pay the rent or mortgage, or raise money for a medical procedure, it is a HUGE budget.

You mean like launching spy satellites? That's ULA, not NASA, and I don't see what that has to do with looking for alien life. Searching exoplanets would hardly come under the "defence" remit

NASA policies / procedures in some areas are dictated by the DoD. NASA, the DoD (air force) and NOAA work hand in hand on military space projects.

incidentally for being a civilian agency every single Space Shuttle Commander were military.

Yes, astronauts tend to be ex military, of course. What bearing does any of this have on exoplanets and the hunt for ET life?

Its as relevant as your post that I responded to discussing the above.

Secondly people were discussing if a NASA scientist would be able to actually disclose ET life if it were located and verified. Those protocols will contain DoD participation.

Except NASA is not the only space agency doing this, nor are the space agencies the only entities doing it.

You also have universities and other organizations that do not have any ties with NASA nor any government.

Cool story bro.
