I look after people with autism and people with severe disabilities, they have as much right as you or I to have a quality standard of life.
They are people just like you or me whom feel pain and express happiness, they are individuals whom have a personality of their own.
Plus in civilized society we help people like this...it is their basic human right.

Well sick people are sick of one thing at a time right? The have one or a few deficiencies but possibly great atributes in the rest of their genes. You are going to let them die of one thing they couldn't handle? And lose out on their other genes that were tip top?? The older they are the more things their body handled in their lives.

Are they mixed race? Mutts before pedigree my friend, I've seen some dogs that are so pedigree they can't breathe, have hip problems so can only reproduce by C-Section. You can't be tunnel vision in this life.

Oh and answer the questions put to you please.

i've always thought those that promote this sort of thing, like let the people that have birth defects die, or any population control or euthanasia would be a better word, should be the first to step up and volunteer to end their own life as that would be a great start to what they are promoting.

now as a individual's right to die, that i got no problem with, parents choosing for their newborns, hard to say.
but as for the state or any organization or person deciding that someone should be killed, or let die because the have a birth defect, is not a option. once you start traveling down that road, it gets easier and easier to reclassify who is put on the list. and soon as that happens only the ones in power or the affluent would be left.

I was born 3 weeks early, and because I was taken good care of I grew up to be a perfectly healthy human being.

I think it is our human right, for everyone.

I find this thread wrong on so many levels, and don't agree with it.
