Yes, Yes I do...You can and good for you - a pale ale is nice. The US loves drinking - it's supported. BUT as with drinking, not everyone has the setup to produce personal alcohol OR personal use pot. I guarantee that pot will be strictly watched...There is no war on Alcohol...and if you think the lame War on Drugs is over...

Agreed hops and beer are legal but those are "low octane"...I'll bet ya fiddy dollars that growing & selling your own will be illegal in any and all states where selling by the TPTB IS legal...
"And if they decide to put additives in our precious plant then they better believe that people are going to revert back to buying it from the streets, so TPTB can say bye bye to their tax money". Oh no,
see they'll still get money and fines the same damn way they are right now...If you want change you better assemble - like ants

Brewing beer is not that hard if you have the dedication. The materials needed to build the set-up is simple and can easily be found locally or online.

Here is a walk-through that I found from a simple google search.

It would be just like it use to be and how it was always supposed to be besides saving the global economy and bringing forth much peace and spawn several golden ages for mankind...

Did i mention all its medicinal wonders?

So it would be answered best by just saying about time...

If people are concerned about their lungs then there are lots of other options: vaporizer, edibles, oils and lotions just to name a few.

As for those articles, I'm not sure how many of them are accurate. Some of those could be the old propaganda garbage, particularly the one saying that marijuana is more carcinogenic than cigarets.

Check out Dr. William Courtney, here's his website Cannabis International Foundation

There is also a trailer for a documentary that is being done about cannabis & sick children, it is called "How Cannabis Can
Save Cancer-Stricken Kids: An Introduction to 'Weed the People,' " by Ricki Lake

How Cannabis can save cancer-stricken kids

Also am hoping that it will force Canada to legalize it already. Hopefully Canada will do it before the U.S Trudeau wants to legalize it and is also promising to not do the pipelines so it's really tempting for a lot of Canadians.

What a load of crap. First of all - a lot of what those sources claim is complete bull#. As for the carcinogens, yes ANYTHING being combusted and inhaled will expose you to carcinogens.

for those that care about that - vaping, duh.

I cannot believe they say Marijuana smokers miss a bunch of work due to respiratory illnesses lmao give me a #ing break!!

Also, cigarette smokers are not inhaling 'tobacco smoke.; Most of what they are inhaling is added chemicals and poisons and flavoring.

I call complete BS on there being more carcinogens in pure marijuana smoke.

"HAHA...ummm. No, sorry...dude...you can't, um, legalize it. Cuz, uhh...It'll ruin the economy or something...you a turarrist or somethin?" - says the illusion They call the politician.

If only this was a really bad joke.

One can hope.

Peace

Hello LogicalGraphitti,

I think your sources are a bit outdated and some sound like pure conjecture (missing more days of work due to respiratory illness).

The most recent study has found no correlation between marijuana smoking and lung cancer here.

In fact, your first link to a University of Washington "fact sheet" contains a name I am very familiar with- Dr. Donald Tashkin (Emeritus Professor of Medicine UCLA) whose 30 year NIDA funded study was cited numerous times in the following article here.

I believe that Cannabis is a benign plant.

Cannabis is the most widely used "illicit substance" on the planet.

If it's so bad, where are the bodies?

I certainly enjoy a cold beer and a cigar from time to time, even though both of those drugs are known to cause cancer and disease. But I appreciate having the freedom to choose to consume them.

Thanks for hearing me out. This is my first reply to a topic on ATS. Thanks for starting this topic, I hope we all stick to the rules and further our learning.

Peace
CS

If it was legal on all states then Mexico would become an economic powerhouse.

Any source to back that up? Or is that just you're opinion?

Read www.washingtonpost.com... 590-2123-4cc6-b664-1e5948960576_story.html" target="_blank" class="postlink">this

It is pretty apparent that American grown is of far better quality than what comes across the border.

I think allowing cannabis/hemp to once again become an American industry would help produce jobs and reduce the number of people that are unnecessarily put through our criminal justice system. It's a win/win situation.

Alcohol is legal. Is the Mexican Alcohol industry making Mexico an economic powerhouse? Please...

Why smoke it at all if it keeps you from getting virtually any job anywhere if it shows up in a urinalysis?.

Why smoke it at all if it could cost you your job if it showed up on a urinalysis?.

Why smoke it at all for the above two reasons, if it is so supposedly "non-addictive"?, unless of course it is addictive.

Other than the reasons not to smoke it mentioned above, the only reason it is being legalized is to bring in revenue for state, local and federal government agencies, which simply distracts us from the real problem of government entities squandering the revenues they do collect from us.

Legalize it nationwide and y'all won't be able to afford it anyway, which will just grow the illicit production and sale of it anyway and create more of the same problems it causes already.

Must be muddled thinking from using it causing people to think it's such a great thing that it's being legalized.

Now if only they would start using it for the purposes it was commonly used for before Viet Nam made it popular for recreational use, like food and textile production and novel new medications without the toxicity of the synthetic and petroleum based garbage killing people every minute of every day.

Ah, never mind, just go on out and get stoned.

If one would like to see the seeds of the earth go back to the people, I do believe that we missed the opportunity to do so long before this legalization of cannabis ever came up.

Next thing will be GMO cannabis, which will pollute all other cannabis through random pollination because some dummy knocked his pipe on a porch railing and it grew wild in the flower bed, and then the owner of the patent will own it all.

Nothing to gain for anyone here unless all one seeks is to get a buzz without having to worry about getting busted for it.
