okay; that's cute; first I get criticised for posting supposedly "biased" left-wing sources, and now you come along and start posting daily caller and townhall, neither of which has even the slightest hint of journalistic integrity.

What about the 2 breaking news stories I posted...you just skipped right over those...huh...

Google them...I didn't make them up. Hell turn on your TV and watch the news...it's kinda big news on the IRS scandal...

I'd like to hear your opinion on what Des posted.

You can say my sources are bad but can you prove either story is false?

His brother did get the rush from Learner and the Poll is considered to just as scientific as any other poll done by anyone else. I just put in the link to show the number I claimed was not one I just made up myself.

I'm not trying to say you are biased you asked why/how I felt a certain way about her guilt and I was just giving my point of view back.

I think it's going to be interesting to see what happens, as it stands washington examiner seems affiliated with weekly standard, but seems to be fair and gives two sides of an issu, which is much, much better than townhall/dailycaller/brietbart (tabloids)

as for your source I find most reliable/most informative in a way;

stockman.house.gov...

personally I'm curious at the outcome, I think we might see a repeat of the whole monica lewinsky affair, where republicans blew something out of proportion, and got a lot of backlash for it.

Lying about a blowjob and lying about the death of a US Ambassador, using the IRS to target Republicans, bypassing Congress by Executive Order, creating the immigrant issue on the southern border, Fast and Furious, declaring the end of Al Queida, etc

is not blowing anything out of proportions. They are a big deal because its a big deal. The Supreme Court, in a 9-0 ruling, told Obama he acted illegally / unconstitutionally on his appointments to the NLRB. Its one thing if it were just the appointment, but when over a thousand rulings by the NLRB are now in question it becomes an even bigger problem.

If it weren't, then actions against Obama would not have gained traction in court.

Really? I mean..you just compared the scandals of this administration, to a blow job in the oval office..

WOW......

I did give you a star for the rest of your post, that made sense.

I seriously doubt anything will come of this but it's entertaining to watch them squirm anyway. I guess.

Just to summarize this...she conversed with others to warn them to be careful of what they say in emails because she has learned that congress can obtain access to these emails. So, apparently she had information she didn't want congress to know about, then learned that congress could find out about it after she had already used email to say things she didn't want them to know about. Then somehow, her emails with information she didn't want them to know about were mysteriously destroyed and don't exist on her computer, the IRS servers, the IRS backup systems, the recipient's servers, computers and backup systems. Finally...she pleads the fifth because she did something wrong and didn't want to incriminate herself.

Either this woman is a computer expert and has the best luck in the world...although she admittedly (by pleading the fifth) did something illegal...or...others were involved in a cover-up. My best guess...what would have been discovered would have resulted in firing at least, and more likely imprisonment or impeachment. Why? Because a smart person would never risk jail time for lying and covering something up, unless what they are covering up would have resulted in more damage.

Any intelligent person KNOWS this would have, and did require a cover-up by many people at the IRS and may have included individuals outside the IRS. Maybe as far as the White House. Maybe the president and/or their staff. There is no logical reason to destroy your reputation, lose your job and rick jail for anything less. Unless, of course it is your misguided, religious-ish faith in what you are doing. Almost like a terrorist for Allah...or a charismatic liar in the oval office.

If it is true, and Ms. Lerner did indeed do as it is suggested, then the question that everyone should be asking:

Why is she still a free person? Why not re-summon her to congress, give her one final chance to talk and produce the evidence, or reissue the contempt of congress citation and send her to jail. That means no going home, no freedom, but sitting in a jail cell for the next 12 months, or until they hold a trial.

Far too often people in DC are getting away with the very things that any one of us would be put in prison, time that they are held to a tougher standards than the rest of the very people that they govern.

I am curious how long it will take for the White House lawyers get subpoenaed to find out if anything has gone thru them in this mess.

I think it is a case of political chess. They may be waiting to dig up additional evidence on Lerner in hopes of compelling her to seek immunity. They can then use her to target the individuals outside of the IRS who helped coordinate the program.

Congress must appoint a special prosecutor. We can dig up all the evidence we want, but so long as Holder is running the DOJ I seriously doubt hes going to go along with a criminal investigation. Holders has refused to investigate any of the scandals under Obama.

Part of me wishes we could redo how the DOJ operates by removing it from the executive and moving it to judicial or legislative. This is one of those areas where partisan politics don't belong.

What really irritates me is if I were to respond to a call revolving around child abuse, and I failed to act and failed to report the incident to Department of Family Services, I can lose my post license and can be charged.

With the latest emails the conspiracy charges are gonna be extensive.

Based on everything to date I think, absent the special prosecutor, that impeachment would be the only way to start holding people accountable. If Holder wont act then congress should.

Agreed, but if the evidence is compelling enough they may have to relent to public and political pressure.

Taking all of these incidents into account, having Holder investigate the crimes would be like having the SS investigate Auschwitz.

The arrogance of this administration and the contempt it holds towards citizens tells me public / political pressure are not a factor.

There would have to be an independent investigation mutually selected by both parties.

The truth will be delayed and ignored by DOJ for two years.

Then Obama can Pardon Lois on his way out the door.

She will never serve a day.

After all, she was working directly for the President.

The answer is simple...and extremely frightening. Our government is, and has been setting a standard for a while now that states "none of us will be fired, imprisoned or in any way pay for our actions". It has been happening on both sides (Dem/Rep) and they are even following that "rule" when going after each other. IRS, Holder, Obama, etc...hell...even lower employees. If you were king, would you allow yourself or your court to be brought to justice for your actions?

How frightening is that???

Great first quote from a former House Speaker: I don't see eye
to eye with Dick Armey on everything, but for this I admire him.
"You can't get ahead while you're getting even." It's almost the
theme song for Illinois' debt monster-- second only I believe to CA.

If one was king, and others czars-- directed by the king's consort
on behalf of the real kingmakers, you would hear something
like this from the right of the throne right after the second
coronation:

"After we win this election, it's our turn. Payback time.
Everyone against us better be ready because we don't forget.
The ones who opposed us will get what they deserve.

There is going to be hell to pay. No election to worry about
after this is over and we have two judges ready to go."

Valerie Jarrett, aka "Obama's Brain"

MOTIVE. I believe the choice of weapon is a pretty moot
point: just use the biggest gun ya got, and send a message.

The whole system has been set up for opacity like concrete
galoshes for a great reason - revenge. It runs on spite. I'm
finally starting to hear from everyone on how Chicago Style
sucks for cost effective and legality. WE EXPORTED IT GLOBAL.

It thrives on inflicting pure vindictive political punishment:
instead of conducting the people's business, the system has
degenerated into nothing but a tool to destroy the "compe-
tition".
If the incumbent administration was a modicum as legitimate
and lawful as its detractors, this whole affair would not even
have existed. The rule of law has been replaced by lawless
thugs who know no other way to conduct business...
and the will of men will always atrophy into Lord Acton's
cautionary. And this deep ugly pizza is Chicago style.
When all is corrupt, there is no justice. It's also why there
may soon forever be no peace.

I actually think it is blowing it out of proportions, I'm not referring to everything else, I'm refferring to this IRS "scandal" (if you can call it that) in particular, Its funny how easily swayed you've been by conservative spin-doctoring..

its detractors are just as bad as the administatration though.

This scandal would have died long ago had lerner been granted immunity, she would have to say something then, or be held in contempt of congress.

the very fact that this hasn't happened is a clear sign that there is no interest in "truth" in this "investigation".

they're milking it for all its politically worth, because people pay attention to it.

if you want lerner to speak, grant her immunity, don't complain about her not wanting to say anything if you don't and she doesn't though.
