What did Adam Warwick of the Florida Wildlife Commission do when he saw a bear in distress swimming out to sea? He swam out there, wrapped that bear up in his bare arms, and saved his ass. That’s what he did.

The bear in question had been darted because it was spotted in a residential area. Before the bear became sedated it it jumped in the water of the Gulf of Mexico.

Happy Monday..

No video of it?

Still, wow to save a bear, what a wonderful man he is. I wonder if the bear will remember it though.

Cool story, thanks for posting I have not seen this anywhere on the news in the msm

The bear will project it/enter it in the collective consciousness as another thumbs up for humanity and another positive WILL reflect back upon the species of man
The southern whaling projections however...

Now that is a great story!

I am glad there are people out there like him. People look at me wierd when I pull my car over (safely) to get a turtle across the road before he gets run over but I don't give a damn. It's the right thing to do. Rescuing a bear swiming out to sea? The turtle x 1000!

No - When the bear gets hungry, Adam gets eaten. I'm all for Animal respect but lets not start trying to hug them, ok? They don't see life how we do

I'm really surprised the bear let him come anywhere near him, maybe the tranquilizer had something to do with it not ripping Adam to shreds.

Well a little misleading

when he saw a bear in distress swimming out to sea

I would assume he is the one who darted it and thus why it was drowning. If he had let it die that would make him a pretty bad
wildlife worker.

A good thing the bear has fat is light and floats in the water.

maybe the bear had fear and recognized help and the recognition of help override the animalistic attack response

Well the bear was still out cold long after the rescue it seems. here is how they moved him.
