Yup, that's close. However, I side with the late great George Carlin when it come to "near miss" terminology. I think it is better said as a TOTAL
miss...yet very, VERY near to the camera/spectators.
On another note, I would love to see the camera from the pilots perspective.

I absolutely love going to air shows, but I have never stationed myself at either end of the runway. Why? Because most aircraft crashes happen during
take-offs and landings. People that put themselves in that position are basically standing in the middle of a drag strip and hoping nothing bad
happens.
I'll jump out of planes if I want that adrenaline rush.

Not technically an Aircraft projects topic I know, but thought it best to put this here. Please move mods if I got it wrong.
Not to one up, but I was here at the filming of this video. I'm in that small group of people near where the C130 impacts with the ground.
The plane continued down the taxi-way (it wasn't the runway) and went into the trees and blew up. 5 dead and two injured with horrific burns.
It happened in front of hundreds of people. The military calls it a CAPEX (Capabilities Exercise). They do it every year.
I was standing next to the Air Force ground controller and he was screaming into his radio to abort. The plane never acknowledged.
What I found weird, was that the CAPEX went on, to show other capabilities of the US Military at another range. And all the while we could see the
smoke from the crash off in the distance. Pretty hard hearted if you ask me.
