I haven't researched the subject of reincarnation a whole lot. Pretty much, I'm familiar with stories of children remembering past lives, or knowing things they shouldn't or couldn't know at their age. I haven't thought about myself too much but now I'm starting to get really curious. I want to discover if I've had any past lives! I want to learn as much about myself (former selves?) as I can! The problem is, I have no idea how I can go about it. I also want to make sure I get definitive results, and not just imaginations. In other words, something concrete, and not just strong feelings and whatnot. Any suggestions?

Past life regression therapy or hypnosis. Where to have it performed and by whom can be found online. Other than that....mediation and astral projecting can be a useful tool.

You're not going to find anything concrete.
There are plenty of people who will be glad to tell you about your past lives.
It's up to you to believe them or not.

I had a session with a psychic by the name of Jesse Zeust who told me about my past lives, though I didn't put much faith in it until a chance meeting years later with a senior homicide investigator.

While on a sailing vacation I met this Officer who entertained our crew all evening with spooky tales of murders he had solved with the assistance of a psychic medium.

This clairvoyant had directed him to the locations of murder scenes or missing evidence or provided descriptions of people, vehicles, jewelry or weapons.

At the end of the night I asked him this person's name.

It was Jesse Zeust.

Last time I tried to reach Ms. Zeust, I found she was retired, but I'm wondering whether contacting a senior Homicide Detective for a recommendation might not be a bad idea?

In fact I'm waiting for a call back from Police Headquarters as I type.

To find out who you were you need to know who you are and who is attached to you in some form. Much of this can be determined by your first and middle name. We have two names for a reason. There is a battle raging inside all of us. Most just write it off as something else and label it as some ego or self among many other names for the attachments. Sure one could look and find the most prevelent past life but it is just the start. The main past to know would be the person in your family that you resemble the most. On the spiritual side usually two males pair up and skip back and forth between the father and son roles and same with the females to an extent but now days many past males are now females and some do a much better job of fitting into this world than a male spirit.

How do you know you even have past lives?

Study the beliefs and practices of those who believe in reincarnation. Buddhists and Hindus (among many others, of course), for example. They don't believe in it for nothing. "Knowledge" (if we can really call it such) of past lives is commonplace among advanced practitioners of certain meditation techniques which inform spiritual philosophies all over the world.

Regression therapy and hypnosis utilize elements of these techniques to achieve altered states of consciousness which can be similar to that of a meditation practitioner in deep contemplation. They repackage it as "scientific" to shed the baggage of "that religious mumbo-jumbo" and the stigma it carries in a secular society.

Not to mention that they encourage you to think of the whole thing as some sort of exotic psychological treatment, which of course necessitates a therapist that you have to pay.

No, all the answers you're looking for have been around for thousands of years, and are currently within you as well. All you have to do is look, and be diligent in your practice.

I don't know that you would get exact results, but hypnosis would probably be the best option. There are several pre-recorded sessions out there - If we are talking authors, William Buhlman, Dick Sutphen, and Steve G. Jones would be my picks.

Another one you can consider, although it depends on your beliefs, is using astral projection or lucid dreaming.

As an example, the one that I can recall to memory was being of the opposite gender (that was...interesting...to say the least; although in the dream I didn't think about it that way - it felt like "me", or the "me" I was), living on what appeared to be an island with a mountain on it; based on the clothes and people around me, ancient Greece or Rome would be a good estimate on time.

Why I can remember it is that in this dream/vision, I visited some kind of residence that was in a higher-elevation, I could smell the sea, and through the window I could see the rise of another peak or high hill. The door was closed/locked behind me, and I remember walking to the window, which had in the sill a deep hole; far down in was a bowl filled with beach sand, with a circle of quartz crystals; I touched them briefly, and went back to the door - that was when water started filling the room; remember banging on the door, trying to find a way to open it, but the water current was too strong, and the last thought on my mind was that I was dying, pressed up next to the door.

Here's the catch - I was 12 when I had this. That year, I went to a rock & mineral show, and found one of the crystals from my vision; knew it right away. Now, can I validate any parts of this, to prove it wasn't a dream? Not right now - I'm sure there was an island out there affected by a tsunami or something similar, and no, I wasn't on Atlantis.

Actually an idea of mine was to visit multiple psychics then cross reference the results to verify.

Well my first name is Bob and my middle name is Lee. Both names are from relatives. Both were alive at the time of my birth and for a decent amount of time after that. Can't say who I resemble most, we all look like a lot alike in this family.

Thanks for your input.

I don't know nor have I experienced anything that would lead me to believe I might. Apart from reading about it ofc.

Not sure if I have the patience for pre-recorded sessions or astral projection. It's extremely hard for me to quiet my mind. I am always thinking about something. Even when I try to clear my mind, I just end up thinking about clearing my mind but not actually doing it (or falling asleep). I have tried astral projection in the past. The closest I was able to get was the sound of rushing wind (just before the projection, so Ive read) and other audio hallucinations. I do have a book by Robert Bruce or someone on astral projection, which I never finished reading (for multiple reasons). Perhaps I should dig it up again.

Edit: That book is,
"Astral Dynamics: A New Approach to Out-of-Body Experiences" by Robert Bruce.

The way I got to remember one of my past lives was through meditating on it and then asking the universe to let me know if it was a real valid vital part of my own spiritual development.

That night I relived the last 2 hours of my last lifetime after I went to bed.

I don't know if it is that simple for everyone,
but that is how I got my answer.

I remember my death in my most recent past life I was a child who died in a Nazi air raid of London .. I blew up on a playground ... I can still see it very clearly and have been able to see it since I was a young child. I think this explains a lot of my poltiical and 'prepper' leanings in this life.

There is a psychic that I went to for a past life reading. She was really good and I thought the past life reading made sense. (she told me of a different life than the one I just mentioned).

You can see past life influences in this life if you look closely enough. I have no doubt that my need for a strong defense force and prepper stuff comes from my WWII experience in London. It was a quick turn around to be reincarnated ... probably less than 20 years ... so I was still carrying the effects of that death into this life.

a reply to: WakeUpBeer Your are lucky to have that knowledge to start with. During our lives as we grow we take on certain aspects of our personality. usually around 5 and then again at 12. You can look at the two and see how their lives were and then you can get an idea of your battle. However that still does not answer the questiion of your self that came first. The other posters have mentioned ways to find more about where the one in the middle came from and sometimes it is best to not know but if it is on your mind then there may be something you need to know. GOOD LUCK

Meditation, self hypnosis and hypnosis. Dolores Cannon has a dvd on her site that is good, with group regression.

Learn to lucid dream as well, or get close, more awareness of dreams, because this is work on consciousness and meditation, giving yourself permission to remember, all helps flex that muscle of your energy centers and psi.

Chakra meditations, not the goofy ones. They really allign to levels or schools, and also to The Way, if you read this article.

www.thenazareneway.com...

There are many meditations or contemplations, days of the week, morning, evening, that pertain to similar energy centers as the chakra's.

Mine came spontaneously, watching videos with trees and vegetation on mars, I remembered. The tie between Mars, Lemuria and even Egypt was strong.

But the odd thing is, in my memory, we were The Equality, and higher mind, telepathically connected, and I was about 11.

Reading that link above was like, coming home! It was a self recovery kind of, as that is something that is the Old Knowledge and not just 8000 but known through past cycles and off planet as well.

Its working with energy and consciousness, dream time, and meditation, or hypnosis when its the deep meditative kind.

You can even do a lucid dream style meditation with delta binaurals, though I need coffee or I go to sleep, quit breathing first often and instead wake up. But you can ask questions, like a self hypnosis, and visualize a door opening to where you were in the past.

Meditation, Channelers and Psychics.

One way that I know has you get into a deep meditative state where you aren't distracted or disturbed. You imagine darkness and you are walking towards a door. The door here represents a past life and or fragments and glimpses into them. You basically open up the door and try to view whats inside the door. Taking mental notes of what you witness. If not mistaken the more doors you go through the further back in past lives you travel.

Often times you will see highlights or lowlights of a past life. Often cherished memories, deaths etc..

I know in a past life I was either strangled/chocked or hanged. I hate anyone touching around my neck and throat and can't stand necklaces or tight collars.

When I looked into a door I saw rocks by the ocean. As if I was with someone by the coast right on the water and big dark rocks.

I should do more, but I usually forget to write down what I witnessed, sorta like you would in a dream journal.
