Rather than realizing grey is not in the legend meaning those that are grey on the map are not counted in the results.

Good stuff...

Except you were telling everyone that there was NO grey earlier and it was purple... and quite frankly, you're boring and like a bad smell.

You've completely derailed the thread and you just wont shut up.

When we said that GREY makes up the vast majority of the map, you laughed... we said Canada was grey, you said purple.

Anyway, enjoy your mission.... great, worthwhile work you're doing!!

If thats how the world sees us, well, they are idiots.

There is a lot wrong with america. To say that all the worlds problems wince its formation are america's fault is downright stupid.

Frankly, much of the world would be in shambles without the U.S.

Fact.

Much of the world is still in a shambles with the U.S.

Indeed I have sir and have experienced your lovely seasons: Winter, Still Winter, Almost Winter, and Construction.

We like to think of it as two seasons: Frostbite and Flybite.

Honestly seeing a moderator on ATS that is Canadian, spreading false information about your own country makes me question why bother trying to help here.

If you are hating on the only person trying to help you understand something, you have problems.

He wasn't spreading anything false. The poll colour appears grey on our screens, obviously not on yours. The color is an irrelevant point.

My point was why do Mexico and Russia like the U.S.A. more than Canada and you have nothing to add to further our understanding of that blatant fact from the map.

I believe the truth lies not in how the world views the U.S.A., but how the U.S.A. views the world.

I already answered you twice. Grey countries are not in the legend which means they aren't counted as anything on the map.

The color is relevant because you still don't get it.

Ugh. You people are either willfully ignoring my point, or unwillingly proving it.

not sure which.

Stated pretty clearly on the first page.

There is a large contingency of people out there that will gladly borrow 2 pair of hands so they can cover their eyes ears and mouth at the same time when it comes to acknowledging that the US does a lot of good in the world, to go with their bad.

Its easy to pile on the trendy "everything's wrong" bandwagon.

Nice one-liner, though

According to the like/dislike map, your nearest neighbour - Canada - is not impressed.

www.washingtonpost.com...

Of course the US does good. Anyone saying differently doesn't know what's going on it the world. It pales compared to the invasiveness of it's military though.

Within your response lies the basis of why some Americans are not looked upon favourably.

Folks...teehehehe...the map is grey because Canada was not polled in that data set (2012).

Euphem, as the map clearly states, it is favourable-unfavourable, which would make Canada medium blue (34%), if the map was based on the 2013 Pew data, which is marginally less than Mexico (36%) and significantly higher than Russia (11%).
