Is there any real reason to keep this entire bunch of bums in office regardless of party? It seems they disregard the reason they were elected and instead work to use power to enhance pet projects. There is no respect for the voters or the rule of law they were voted to uphold. While we keep the old buzzards in office nothing changes. Indiscriminately putting in replacements doesn't work either. We need a complete overhaul of Congress on a regular basis.
We the non-sheeple voters can make it happen. How can the sheeple be brought to support this?

I say toss em' out.

We are beyond needing politicians, as they have outgrown their welcome.

What we need to replace them with are statesmen.

How can the sheeple be brought to support this?

Because the American people have been dumbed down to think that there is only Republican or Democrats to vote for at election time. When there are debates on TV look at how many parties are there 99% of the time just two. Take the Tea Party for example even though they claim to be a separate party they run on the Republican ticket because they know they wouldn't get any media attention or in the debates if they didn't. The TP shows their smarts going that way.

Sheeple can't as long as ABC,NBC,CBS,MSNBC,CNN are in the pockets of the government and refuse to do real journalism. The sheeple get most of their news from these sources. These sources have also convinced sheeple that all other sources are "fringe" and not to be trusted.

All of these networks have either a brother, sister, or spouse of the CEO's working at the White House.

A third party is what we really need. We do need to do a clean sweep of all politicians and get term limits in for all politicians of 2 terms per job. i.e. 2 terms as governor, 2 as congressman, 2 as senator would be ok, just not more than 2 terms for any given job

Regardless of party, these senators and congressmen are never going to have your best interests at heart. When they get elected to that position, they no longer listen to the people that elected them. They listen to the lobbyists that bribe them.

A great example is Orrin Hatch. A Republican. He has been a senator since 1977. And in all that time, he has received a substantial amount of money from dietary supplement companies every year in the form of campaign contributions. In exchange, he has pushed hard to keep the FDA away from these companies.

And the other thing about parties is that once you fly the Republican or Democrat banner, you are expected to share all of the same views that the party does. Your stance on gay rights, abortion, religious freedom, corporate bailouts, or whatever are expected to be predetermined. Hey, you are a democrat. This is how you are supposed to feel about this topic.

It is safe to assume that every last congressman and senator out there is just playing a role and being paid by corporations to have certain opinions and to block or try to pass certain bills which would be favorable to these companies.

Just look at the Affordable Care Act. A bill that started out as an attempt to provide free health care to everyone in the US. As soon as congress got their hands on it, they drastically changed the bill, forcing all citizens to have to pay for insurance instead of having health care provided from the tax dollars that we already pay.

Why would they do that? Because several of these people were being bribed by health care lobbyists. And once the bill was passed, the cost of health insurance increased, leading to tons of profit. And since you are required to have it, we the citizens were put over a barrel so that some congressmen could make a buck.

Just recently I witnessed something about the young politicians coming up, a young man in our town was mayor at the age of 18, he held the job for about 3/4 of his term and resigned since he was going to go to college, well he is back, seen him at a parade saying that he is running for state Assembly, he was working the crowd, the old, those in wheel chairs but when he was working the crowd he avoided anyone that was military related, there was a old gentleman with a WWII hat on, walked right by him and ignored him, then there was a young man wearing a 1st Cav hat, he did the same thing but sure did make a bee line for those old women.

I guess my point is we need to replace all those Politian's with real people, hate to say it that Robert Ford in Canada is the type of person, he admits to drinking using drugs, and haves fun, Would like just one to see a Politian like G.W Bush come out and say yes I had a drinking problem but my wife saved me. I think you would get more people to trust and related to you if you were honest, wait what am I saying Honesty, does that exists in Washington once they get there.

No. Really..we cant make it happen as you suggest. Youve got to come to understand we PUT these people there. How do you think they GOT there? We put them into place.

The average citizen...even 100,000 of them...is not enough to NOT get them elected. You see. They ARE in office...and they will KEEP getting elected by whom you ask?

US. We elect these guys.

To me, saying "Throw all the bums out of office!" is like shaking your fist at the sky. You might feel better but it won't do any good. If you were able to throw out the whole lot, then what? You vote in a whole new bunch, but you'll eventually want to throw out that bunch, too. On and on it goes. You need to vote in good politicians and kick out the bad ones. If you say there are no good politicians, then find a way to make some. Also you understandably hate the two party system we have, and you call for a third, or independent party. Is there some magic independent party or candidate that we will all agree with and support? A good citizen needs to scream bloody murder and arouse the rabble.

How hard would it be to make a law that puts a max years for a politician, id say 2 mandates max so 8 years and your shown the door.
