Brace yourself, because your stomach might drop as you watch this POV video down a 168-foot and seven-inch water slide at Schlitterbahn Waterparks and Resorts in Kansas City.

The slide known as Verrückt has been deemed the "world's tallest," by the Guinness World Records, and beckons the brave to take a plunge down its steep slope.

Though the slide was meant to open to the public May 23rd, additional work on Verrückt has delayed its debut.

Would you have the nerve to ride this for real?

Nope. And I live just minutes away from it.
They've delayed the opening AGAIN (3 times now). The conveyors don't work correctly.

Plus, you have to climb 264 steps to get to the top - and there's no elevator.

Well, now you can ride it, or feel like you're riding it, without worrying if it's going to break while your going down at 100 mph... and you don't have to climb to the top.

BUT...I would have to replace my laptop after loosing the contents of my stomach all over it. Thank you for the video experience, but I can't look.

The video was cool, but I'm scared of heights, so I couldn't do it.

BTW, that water looked gross at the bottom.

I took the ride, Sled. As you said, it was fun, and I'd do it for real.
I wish this was close to me.

Okay, I watched (took?) the ride.

Still don't think I'd ride it for real, though. It lasts for 27 seconds... NOT long enough to be worth 264 steps!! 1 second for each 10 steps?
I wonder if they'll have a sign that says "You must be able to run 3 miles in 10 minutes to climb up to the top of this ride"

I'd be having a heart attack halfway up - and it'd probably finish me off before I got to the bottom.
