Plasma Displays Sentient Qualities?

Considering that the bulk of normal matter in our Universe
exists in the plasma state, the concept of plasma life forms
should not be so shocking.

One thought which amuses me, is that so many of the places
from which 'aliens' supposedly originate in those silly
contactee stories such as the Pleiades, which makes no
sense at all (as they are young hot stars that can't have
Earth-like planets) would be perfectly fine places for
the origination of species of sentient plasma.

Another of my favorite thoughts involving purported
sentient plasmas, is that perhaps they evolved within
the bodies of organic life.. that we and other organics
like us were the matrix within which they evolved..

That while organic life in the Universe may be very
rare (long story as to why).. perhaps organic life
is most precious, as it was the raw material needed
for the first truly sentient plasmas..

A number of scientists I've spoken with are horrified
at the thought of sentient plasmas evolving naturally
due to the lack of 'scaffolding'.. well perhaps creatures
like us were that scaffolding.. but now they have
evolved past needing our type of 'scaffolding'...
or maybe not all of them do..

It's really similar to the respected idea that life arose
on earth in conjunction with crystalline structures
near volcanic vents on the ocean floor.. that these
crystals acted as 'scaffolds' which were helpful
for self-replicating life to evolve.
