ATS Blogs?

Another feature of the ATS community we're considering adding is weblogs.

If we have members (say, everyone with 100+ posts) the ability to create their own weblog on ATS (abovetopsecret.com/blogs/username). We have reasonably full-featured web-long management software for your own personal publishing space on ATS (with custom skins and such). Then we'd add a blog link in your mini-profile with your posts, and perhaps even feature a snippet from the most recently modified ATS Blog on the forum home.

So... if we added this feature, how many would take advantage of this?

not that anyone would read about the life of a boring aussie.

I think its a good idea.

...only if I can post those pics of me in the clown-suit doing dodgy things with an inflatable poodle...

I would be intrested in reading others' and possibly posting my own.. I also have a livejournal, though. But yes, this is a very cool idea.

But nothing "entertaining" going on here... Only time I've ever read blogs was during wars.... It's interesting to hear the day to day during such a time....

I would use it to write my thoughts and findings on time and space, quantum physics and the universe. I see it as a good way to talk with other people with common interests.

Can I assume that if I get this feature integrated these members can be our BETA testers?

I've installed some very nice blogging software and need volunteers to get started testing it out.

Who wants to be the first member to have their own ATS Blog?

In the future, any member with 400+ posts or 4 months of membership, will qualify for a free ATS member blog.

So this is a mini website almost? Don't mind by ignorance around internet terms, it sounds good. I'll think about it.
