O'Reilly called a doctor that performed abortions "Tiller the Baby Killer" or otherwise ranted about him 28 times on his TV program until he was ultimately murdered at his own church by a pro-life fanatic.

Is that a "little less hateful and offensive" to you?

At least when a liberal host or a left wing media station gives it's opinions they say "This is my opinion".

They don't portray opinion as fact. They don't tell their guests to "shut up".

They don't cut people's mic off mid-sentence because they want to speak their mind and stray away from the script they are supposed to parrot.

I actively seek out views that challenge my beliefs. Some conservative do provide good sources, fox isn't one of them. Fox actually went to court for the right to lie. If you think political bias it the only reason someone would be against fox, you ain't paying attention.

It's also divisive. It's ok to give the conservative view, but a big portion of their programing is dedicated to the countries "liberal problem" they brings on # heads like Ann Coulter, and convince people that calling someone a liberal is a winning argument. I know when I'm debating a fox conservative, because they counter facts with LIBERAL LIBERAL LIBERAL LIBERAL. I get it, I'm the new American Hitler, but you still need a valid counter argument.

These divisive news bubbles are horrible for our country.

I would consider myself more liberal than conservative, but I am sorry, which liberal news hosts say that this is their opinion before talking? I have yet to see this.....

As far as cutting people off is concerned, the host has no control of that. This happens on every single MSM network, and the person cutting them off is in the control room.

You really think you can divide how sensible people are and their basic mannerisms, even to specifically saying 'this is my opinion' or not based on whether or not they identify as a 'conservative' or 'liberal?' Geez no wonder we're all so divided and can't make progress...

There is a strong opposition to ox News in particular because the propaganda machine is doing its job. I cannot find proof, but after studying, observing, and trying to distance myself from any kind of set-in-stone political views, I am developing my own understanding of what ideas propaganda machine is attempting to ingrain into our minds.

Every mainstream media news outlet has a profound history of falsified and/or unethically doctored information. Given that Fox News seems to be the dissenting voice, and they also make conservative at large look crazy or irrational, I'm guessing they are a tool to discredit conservatism. The News Corp has mostly liberal programming, mostly, but Fox News is conservatism at its most ridiculous. Something about that doesn't add up.

My conjecture, which is subject to change, is that the extremely dominant liberal media reveals the agenda whereas Fox News serves to both discredit the opposition and manufacture dissent. For any social, ideological, or social revolution, there must be bad guys. Without the bad guy there would be no reason to rally. Fox News kills two birds with one stone (so-to-speak).

All hat no cattle.

I love to disagree and while I'm at it may I just put my palm to my forehead and sigh?

If you think fox bloody news is at all required for anyone, anywhere to know anything - you are deluded.

Fox is news corp is murdoch is the devil.

I don't expect you to know much about the content of this link, but it's effects and cause were both dramatic and included everyone from voters to queen elizabeth of england.

At the risk of advertising my location - Americans cannot be blamed for defending fox as they often have no way of knowing any better.

Murdoch editors told to 'kill Whitlam' in 1975

Rupert Murdoch directed his editors to "kill Whitlam" some 10 months before the downfall of Gough Whitlam's Labor government, according to a newly released United States diplomatic report.

The US National Archives has just declassified a secret diplomatic telegram dated January 20, 1975 that sheds new light on Murdoch's involvement in the tumultuous events of Australia's 1975 constitutional crisis.

I think it needs to remain on the air until low viewership count finally gets it taken off.

We need the ugliness and hatefulness of conservatives in full view for the world to see. For decades it remained hidden from the media. Hiding in the shadows and we let it persist. The scars of that are seen all over minority issues over the decades.

These days conservatives are at the point that they're being seen with the same disgust as "Dirty F***ing Hippies" were in the 60s.

Minimizing conservative fanaticism to a tiny cult will be the ultimate outcome of Fox News and other hate media outlets, and I'll be very happy for that.

I don't care.

See unlike Fox News haters people can say what ever the hell they want.

As GUARANTEED in the first amendment.

Ya know it is one of those GREAT things about the US.

Only place in the world were ideologies coexist with each other.

Communists,fascists,socialists,democrats, and republicans.

VARIETY is the spice of life.

LIKE OR LEAVE IT.

But that is where it begins and ENDS.

Back to acting like the antithesis of what the world liberal means.

Maybe the left should look up the definition since they apparently don't know what the hell it means.

Sorry I'm not used to people defending things they're against.

You responded to a post explaining why fox is wrong, by mockingly letting someone know others are wrong...it's not my fault I seen your justifications as justifications. When someone tells me fox sucks, I don't make counter arguments, i just agree.

The freedom to say what one cares to say doesn't necessarily mean that person or group is right or correct and in the case of this so-called 'news' organisation, they are harming public knowledge.

Hopefully, those who watch it can tell the difference between what it real news and what isn't, but I don't hold hope.

Not going to happen, unless the 'progressives' make it illegal to watch. Surely we have all heard of net neutrality.

Is that an attempt to troll? Why on earth would I bother? I watch ABC news Australia and take my sources from many around the globe.

I have no need for fox 'news'.

I bet you do, though.

I'm not 'defending what I'm against.' People single out one particular news outlet as if it is so extremely, uniquely bad. My point is that they're all bad...it's illogical to single one out, and it wrongly gives increased credibility to the other news outlets...the problem is the whole establishment behind the mainstream media itself.
