china and russia

say if iran is refferd to the UN and
say if the sanctions fail ( russia or china veto them )
and the US launches a pre-emtive strike on Iran
and iran strike back destroying a couple of ships in the gulf and so on

would china and russia help Iran out

( maybe not Russia since they are most likey to bail on their friends when it comes to it )

Not directly. Not at first anyways. I would suspect that Iran would have plenty of equipment though....with Russion and Chinese labels on them.
