He talks as if he has done all he can to gather information but has no information to give.

They have handed over thousands of documents and up to 70,000 of Lois Lerner's emails.

Exactly how is that no information?

So its cute to be deceptive when you think the guy is lying in favor of your own ideology?

Even if it means its bad for the people of America?

Even if it means at some point that could be turned on YOU?

Remind me what bridge youre under so i can keep my billy goats gruff off of it

Badass?? A guy hiding behind the truth and giving BS answers in response to legitimate questioning is not badass, in my eyes, it is criminal and should be deemed criminal. When you are serving public office you should have to answer ALL questions when in front of a congressional board. This also goes to Lois Lerner who loves invoking the 5th amendment and hiding behind it...

From what I have watched, he has kept his calm in the face of some pretty loony toons up there and has given clear and consistent answers.

The one congressmen tried to keep getting him to admit that there were official records lost in Lerner's hard drive...and this guy didn't slip up once reminding him that it was emails lost...no known official records.

Yeah, this guy is a badass and making these guys look like clowns.

So, a guy sticking to his BS story over and over again while being questioned is badass? Are you aware of what the IRS has done here? If so, how can you claim the way they are acting when being questioned badass? I don't want to say you are trolling, maybe just uninformed and commenting (my guess), but these people are destroying this country and you seem to find joy in this, calling it badass and awesome???? I hope you are in the heavy minority here with your feelings toward these BS answers we are seeing...

Please give me an example of where you think this guy was lying.

Why do you think he is lying...what evidence do you possess that suggest that what he said is a lie?

I really wish they would bring in the IRS IT Director/CTO to come into answer questions about the hardware. These fossils who don't understand IT can plead ignorance towards the hardware, but an expert in the area can't get away with that. And EVERYONE will know they are lying if they try to push the story the IRS is trying to get us to believe.

Cummings is an idiot...he is there for himself just like all the other congressmen.

If he wanted to support the IRS guy, he would have asked questions to allow him to explain his side...because when the Republicans have the time, they don't let him speak or respond.

Not easy is it when there are no questions that would make the IRS "explain" themselves to begin with.

Elijah is following his orders to the "Letter".

So then we know that it being a laptop it HAD to be backed up for sure somewhere off site, knowing that she was traveling with it and things could get lost and confidential information be compromised or missing

What exactly is BS about his story?

I'm guess you have proof that what he is saying is BS...right?

He's been in every single thread saying about the same thing. If anyone says anything contrary to the agenda of the current administration...he prattles on and on...

I think for Christmas, we should all chip in to get his nose cleaned....though I wonder if all that will ever come off...

I've been really enjoying this hearing, to finally see a glimmer of what our Founding Fathers had in mind in their wisdom of separation of powers.

Sure they handed over 70,000 emails. That's not what I meant.

I meant that he talks like the IRS was doing their own investigations, yet he can't answer even simple questions.

Notice how he said the emails were on some intense record that stores things for up to six months but he doesn't know whether or not they have checked that back up for the emails or not? Yeah, sounds like a guy with nothing to hide.

I'm not saying he is or isn't guilty of anything, I don't know.

The fact that his main premise is they cant get the information because her hard drive crashed and that they dont have access to the emails because of it is a LIE......

Anyone who is older then 12 knows theres no way thats true........

The fact that they had a contract with a company to facilitate the storage of their information is a glaring reminder that its a lie......

period

If there were nothing to hide, why lie

What?

Why would it matter if it was a laptop or a desktop?

I don't follow your logic.

Why is that a lie?

Backup company backs up the email server that stores around 6000 emails per individual, and they keep the backups for 6 months before they are overwritten with new backups. Individuals archive old email messages onto their local hard drive.

When the local hard drive crashes and the backup is older than 6 months old...the emails are gone.

Where exactly do you think these emails are?

Jeez man, can you be any more obvious. They claim her hard drive went down, but wait, it was only the Emails!

Bird poop has more value than the 'testimony' being given.

Simple Conclusions:

They discovered multiple computer crashes on units with data under investigation in a short time frame.

They had backup disaster recovery in place.

They *SAY* they never accessed the recovery data.

The recovery data was available.

Then they say the data is lost forever.

Obviously the data is being withheld for criminal reasons.

Well hidden by now.

But somebody certainly has invoked their right to cover-their-ass.

Copies are forthcoming.

The timing is obvious.

And he explained that it is their policy to print out hard copies of emails considered as "official records". And they have turned over all of Lois Lerner's printed copies of emails that she printed out as official records.

What else do you want?

Elijah is following his orders to the "Letter".

I've wondered why Cummings didn't recuse himself from the proceedings when he became tainted ... but I didn't wonder to any great length.

I've also wondered why he wasn't summarily dismissed ... but not really.

This whole 'act' is about keeping the IRS intact as a weapon ... but keeping it away from the other side.

My frustration lies with who this weapon is always used against ... and that is you and me ... certainly, not them.
