A dream of dreaming? Is this a glitch in the matrix or just a rare thing?

I had an odd one the other night. I had a dream that I slept and had a dream. Nothing like some redundant sleep, right?

It wasn't anything like the double dream sequences that you see in the horror movies. It also seemed rather short as dreams go. I do remember the subject of the dream within a dream (and that is of a darker nature). It was something about the beast of Revelations. I think he was born?

I always thought dreams of a biblical nature were a bit strange. I guess a dream of a dream of biclical nature is strange squared?

Anyway, I'm not spewing doom porn or anything. I've had several experiences lately with dreams that were very vivid. This one doesn't seem to fall into that category (at least to me). I'm just putting it out there because of the odd subject matter.

Anyone else have similar experiences?

"All that we see or seem,
Is but a dream within a dream."

- Edgar Allen Poe,
... one of my favorite poems by him, obviously called "A dream within a dream".
Full Poem

Of course this can happen, and it does almost all the time, but being conscious of the experience makes it all the more interesting.

Care to elaborate on the details of your dream?

I understand totally what you say about these strange dreams possibly meaning something else as they are away from the norm of what one usually experiences. Just yesterday i had a discussion about the recent dreams i was having where i was having a dream within my dream of a dream i had months ago. It is strange how ones mind can create such a complex blend of memories and stitch them together to make them relevant to the dream you are experiencing.

Also my 5 year old daughter made me think when she asked why she doesnt have a shadow in her dreams. It got me interested in what quality of consciousness kids have in their dreams and their ability to retain dream memories so quickly after one wakes up. I keep trying to remind myself to check for my shadow but i lose the ability to analyse from my wakened minds perspective in my dreams. Gotta keep practising my astral travel and stuff.

Get in line.

A couple of us are noticing glitches in the matrix lately.
Just use the ATS search engine, type -glitch in the matrix-and see for yourself.

I honestly don't remember much else save that I woke up knowing that the dream in my dream was about the beast. Sorry but I don't have any other details and this seemed like any other dream except for the subject matter.

I've had some interesting experiences in the last 6 months or so in regards to dreams. Some have been exceptionally vivd. Once I dreamt of seeing a UFO and I could tell you every last detail of that dream as if I actually saw one. More recently I dreamt about astral projection and woke up feeling like I actually did it. Unfortunately this last one was nothing like the others. (And honestly, I would be scared if it was).

Usually a dream within a dream is there to draw your attention to something in the first dream.

I would imagine that the use of Revelations regarding the Beast in the dream within the dream relates to your fear that the subject of the original dream will reveal itself to be a negative influence in your life.

So probably a personal rather than a prophetic dream.

All humans actually have at least 7-9 dreams per night, but the thing is you forget 90% of all dreams within 10 minutes of waking up. A dream within a dream may be your mind trying to unlock something, may it be a memory or just a figment of your imagination that you brain is creating. Its one of those strange phenomenons that happens to people every once in a while, nothing to be worried about, but I would like to know more about this "Beast of Revelations", could you explain it to me?
