The USS Liberty was a spy ship. It had members of the ASA, Army Security Agency on board.


My dad, while not on the Liberty was ASA. They were monitoring comms and were sunk so they could not intercept messages about the upcoming attack against Egyptian(?) forces

its not a case of "misidentification".

what about the 5 ft by 8 ft flag later and the large letters on the ship identifying as an American ship?
didnt the isrealis see that?
