All I can say is WOW!

A Heritage Foundation panel formed to discuss the White House's handling of the September, 11, 2012, terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya, went off-course Monday and turned into a broader discussion on the West versus radical Islam.

The event, which was attended mostly by conservatives, gained widespread attention after the Washington Post's Dana Milbank reported that the panel's speakers engaged in the “ugly taunting” of Saba Ahmed, a young Muslim woman who is currently enrolled at American University as a law student.

To me this panel hit the nail on the head! Just the way I feel we all know there's good and bad all over the world. check out the video, only 10 min.

Thanks Pal! I'm a old fart and have problems with this stuff.

the oung lady asked a very simple question -

how do you fight // win an war against an ideology with weapons

the first two respondants just ignored the question and gave a stock rant

the 3rd didn't even speak

only the last panellist addressed the question - as valid but offered no solution

is this the standard of American politics ?

It's the Heritage Foundation, what did anyone expect? They've published William Bennet, Pat Robertson and Edwin Meese.

Basically, the gist of the panel members' responses was that 25% of Muslims are a threat to the U.S., if not as terrorists, by some sort of cultural subversion that will plummet us into Sharia law (roll eyes).

I also take issue with the statement that, "19 highjackers brought this country to it's knees."

Really? Brought us to our knees? Maybe that woman is a secret Al Qaeda operative.

The only way to win a war against ideology is destroying every last person with that ideology. But, you know.. that's not a nice thing to do.

I did. And I read the transcript.

I didn't see taunting. I saw a candid and direct discussion that this young lady was all too happy to participate in. I didn't see anything close to disrespect. Just direct and honest discussion.
