Nearly 95 per cent of terrorist arrests have been the result of FBI foiling its own entrapment plots as a part of the so-called post-9/11 War on Terror, a new study revealed.

...

One of the FBI’s strategies involved “using agents provocateur to actively entrap targets in criminal plots manufactured and controlled by the government.”

‘Inventing terrorists’: New study reveals FBI set up terrorism-related prosecutions

New study provides evidence that virtually all domestic terrorist incidents in the USA during the War of Terror are actually plots created by the same American state agencies that typically arrest the plotters just in the nick of time.

But what does it all mean?

It means they are coercing these individuals to use their supplies to act out against the government, or people.

Would these people use these tactics if they didn't have the federal government suppying them with equipment or supplies?

That to me is the question.

They are using these people's dislike of the government to turn them into terrorists.

It means that the domestic War on Terror is a complete farce.

There are terrorists out there - most of them in the ME and there is actually very little to be worried about when it comes to terrorists for those living in the US.

The FBI has been encouraging and manufacturing plots among st those who are already vulnerable, in many of these cases the disturbed individual would have never even been able to come up with said terror plot if FBI agents were not pushing the plot the entire time and making all the materials readily available to the perpetrator.

Basically, there is nothing to fear domestically and yet they are tightening the reigns more and more on domestic citizens.

RT reporting on a "Muslim advocacy group." No bias there ...

They are misusing the term "entrapment." If you meet somebody who offers you a bomb and asks you to blow up some infidels, and you freely agree to detonate the bomb and kill infidels, you were not entrapped. Even if the person who offered you a bomb was an FBI agent, or AG Holder himself, it is not entrapment. Your attempt to commit the illegal act, no matter who suggested it to you, is criminal. See explanation here.

Exactly. Basically they are finding those with qualms against the government and they are using coercion to turn those qualms into an actual action of terror. Their supplies as well as you mentioned. What a joke - without the coercion these same people would simply make a rant somewhere online about the gov't and then move on like the majority of us do.

I don't understand how any Americans can continue to support any part of this regime.

War is peace.
Ignorance is strength.
Freedom is slavery.
America is democracy.

This planet is another planets hell.

Our law may not view it as entrapment but I certainly do. In Hawaii, the police officers can have sex with the prostitutes BEFORE arresting them. All across the country, "drug stings" take place where a #ing cop is the one selling the drugs! This is also not considered entrapment by our law but I disagree...

Granted, somebody who agrees to do a bombing is on a whole other level and probably should be in a mental ward at the least.

Before anyone says, yeah, well, it's an RT article......I admit I was skeptical at first...

This is one of the groups that wrote the 170-odd page page reports,
National Coalition To Protect Civil Freedoms...and the page of their member organizations.

“…the war on terror has been largely a charade designed to make the American public believe that a terrorist army is loose in the U.S., when the truth is that most of the people convicted of terrorism-related crimes posed no danger to the U.S. and were entrapped by a preventive strategy known as preemptive prosecution.”

Well they have been 'inventing terrorists' in this country for over 100+ years.

See gun owners, and those 'religious fundamentalists' in this country who think marriage is between a man and a woman.

And if you don't support 'big government to save the planet' .

Lots of this going around.

Nothing new.

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. Theyve been doing that for decades now .. and even with this article bringing it to light there will still be many who believe that its real "insert bad guy of the day here" being arrested instead of some idiot that walked into a set-up .. leading to more rights being taken away .. dissidents disappearing .. and the regime grinding people further under a bootheel ...

The problem in this day and age is that life in North America has become very Orwellian. You know that they are always watching you, simply because they have the capability. You know that this is because there is some serious flaw in the society around us and it is criminal to challenge that flaw. And those who feel an impulse to challenge the flaw will instinctively find others like themselves... Only to discover that these people work to ensure the flaw stays in place.

You can't fully trust anyone and no place is safe, and that the most dangerous threats to the system will not be rapists, murderers or thieves, but rather philosophers and artists.

This has been known for quite some time now, the problem is we have short memories so it's good to see this rehashed in the MSM. Not surprisingly RT is bringing it back up.

I'm well aware you hate Russia but what's that have to do with the OP? Sure its RT reporting on the FBI's terror plots but they aren't the 1st to report on it nor the last, especially since their report is based off of some new study.

And ?

I hold them both EQUALLY with contempt.

Don't really need Russia telling how 'bad' the US is when they are just as bad.

It makes you wonder if there is a real difference between entrapment and incitement, especially if you add racial to either. And I'm, not talking about accommodating legalese.
One of these come shortlys someone will get hurt using these methods..scrub that, it's probably happened.

Even if this source is false, the FBI has been caught many times and it has been reported in national news that agents supplied the perps with fake bomb making materials and then "closed in" on them before they could do any damage, or it was said they wouldn't have been able to do any damage. The FBI has been quoted saying "No one was ever in any danger".

People should send them letters asking them what kind of garbage can they spawned from to use fake cases of terrorism in order to tighten the reigns on American freedom.

An example would be how that one idiot was given fake bomb mats he hid in his show and was escorted onto the aircraft so he didn't have to go through security. Then they claimed success by stopping him later and then instituted the TSA.

Dear DontTreadOnMe,

You know I have respect for you, but I don't understand why you seem to think that the National Coalition to Protect Civil Freedoms is a better source than RT.

The study in question was written by Stephen Downs and Kathy Manley. Downs and Manley are the Co-founders of Project SALAM (Support and Legal Advocacy for Muslims). The NCPCF website also points out that they are both officers of NCPCF.

Other members of NCPCF include:

American Muslim Alliance
Islamic Circle of North America
Muslim Civil Liberties Union
Muslim Legal Fund of America

So, we have Muslim groups looking at Muslims arrested for terrorism, and what we hear is "He wuz framed!" It is possible that they were framed, that's a question for another post, but thinking that this report comes from anyone even remotely resembling a reliable source, leaves me with a dropped jaw.

With respect,
Charles1952

You're shooting the messenger when it really has 0 bearing on the info at hand, which is the FBI creating their own terrorist.

Yeah Russia has their own problems, as does just about every nation, kingdom, empire, what have you.
