Im British.

I genuinely think they've let this militant group do what they've done.

It'll keep price of oil high. It'll keep the middle-east fighting in turmoil.

Im just going to state it flatly, without politics involved - Its been allowed to happen and they probably knew it would happen.

It has been allowed to happen because of politics.

Don't forget people they got all those drones sitting everywhere.

They got all the MRAP's to where the Pentagon is giving them to 'LEO' now.

And we can look forwards to the expansions of the Patriot Act, and the NDAA.

The domino effect is coming.

Would OP and others quit the anti-Obama rhetoric for a moment and try to understand what's hapoening over there? No matter how this has tomdo with America's sick and invasive foreign policy, that's ridiculous to put it all on then shoulders of that actor.

Clearly Obama is apart of the muslim brotherhood. Everything he does, always benefit them in some way. He obviously wants this to happen. If he didn't they would've been out of there already. As far as nukes... I doubt it. Unless it's an EMP nuke... but who knows these criminals lie to us about everything!

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

There's an old game that used to go on in Vietnam, you can ask a vet about it if you don't believe me.

It goes like this:
1) Send troops in to secure a worthless piece of land.
2) Send in contractors to build a fire base.
3) Let the VC overrun the base, and the base get destroyed.
4) Send troops back in to take back the land.
5) Send contractors back in to build a new fire base.
6) Repeat...

Of course it was suspected that a number of the military commanders in charge of this nonsense held stock in the contract companies who were building the bases.

There is nothing new under the sun, and human life is cheap to those making a profit off war.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

From what other former soldiers on ATS have said, he did not stop being a soldier. He cannot stop being a soldier until he is discharged (I am not familiar with this, simply repeating what former military claim). Berghdal was a POW. Even if he walked away, he was clearly captured. There are transcripts of Taliban radio transmissions clearly stating they captured him. As such he was still entitled to be rescued.

I do agree with you somewhat about these contractors, but again, they chose to go into a war zone to make cash. This is one of the risks, and I am sure they knew that.

There's an example sat on youtube for all to see that pretty much nails what defcon5 said....but I believe it applies to all the psychopathic nutters that get into power courtesy of us the voters, they con us every time, and we fall for it every time, no matter which country we are from

I do believe America has a lot of dept due to the Sadi Arabian Government which could account for him seemingly being there bitch as he is to China. And as far a abandoning are own contractors that's not surprising for the American Government in general.
