In fact I'm sure Christians aren't the only ones being attacked in Iraq right now..... It's the only group important enough for the OP to mention.

Not just Xtians. Even moderate muslims themselves. Theyre killing women who dont cover and/or stay indoors. 4 women committed suicide due to being raped or forced to marry ISIS members. Playing soccer with heads of policemen and torture of former policemen and their families.

This isnt only CHristians. Theyre like devils devouring whatever is in their way.

I know, the difference here is most of Iraq's Christians I believe are already gone, this is not just about Iraq, but the assault and eradication of Christianity in the middle east.

We are witnesses to murder, and our governments are accomplices. The relentless destruction of the last remnants of the Middle East’s Judeo-Christian civilization is well under way. And we are silent.

Some I hear Russia, others have run out of places to go.

Syrian Christians turning to Russia for protection
Read more: voiceofrussia.com...

About 50,000 Syrian Christians want to apply for Russian citizenship. In a letter to the Russian Foreign Ministry, they said that they were not planning to flee Syria, but if threatened with physical elimination, they would pin their hopes on Russia as the guarantor of their survival. Analysts think that despite the difficulties their request may involve, it won’t go unheeded.

The letter reached Moscow through diplomatic channels. It says that the West-backed terrorists are prepared to go to any lengths to wipe Christians out of Syria. The authors of the letter have no intention of fleeing the “land on where Jesus walked” and promise to defend their “homeland, dignity and faith”. They see Russia as the guarantor of “peace and stability”. They are not asking for money or humanitarian aid, but just hope to obtain Russian citizenship. “We will be under the protection of Russia if we face the threat of being physically eliminated by terrorists,” the letter says.

Thats what I was seeing. They flee to one city.. ISIS takes the city.

I understand you want to show that the Christians are being seriously singled out and tortured... but these guys... Theyre mad dogs.Devils. Berzerkers. Theyre killing for the sheer joy of killing for their twisted idea of serving their God. Its pure evil and we are complicit in this.

Every time the US gets involved in the ME, its to support the crazy radicals who inevitably end up waging war on the minorities. We're now openly backing Al-CIAeda in Libya and Syria, Moslem Brotherhood in Egypt. - See more at: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Yes, and it certainly makes me wonder.

I understand, I certainly do.

Christians and Muslims have lived side by side on and off for centuries.

Interesting...maybe this is Obama's play to show his loyalty to Islam. It has been reported that he will not entertain intervening in this so maybe that is his way of telling ISIS to go to town on the Christian population.

Aha. Another believer that Obama's a sooper seekrit mus'lim!!! (Rolls eyes)

Back in 2012 Putin, when asked by a high ranking representative of the Orthodox Church to make "protection and defense of Christianity around the globe a major part of his foreign policy" responded with "You needn't have any doubt that that's the way it will be".

Some people believe that some of his actions in regards to Syria are motivated, at least in part by his affinity for Christianity.

Will be interesting to see if Putin takes any action to protect the Christians in Iraq. I'm certainly not holding my breath in anticipation of our President doing anything to protect them.

Thats because he is not only shrewd... he has a stake in the eventual outcome. Im not a Putin worshipper, but who'd have thought that Russia would be the safehaven for Christians and Christianity?
Strange mad world we live in.

BTW.. good thread Storm.
Brings a lot of the real life issues there with real people to light. We get so wrapped up in the speculation and fact finding we forget that real live human beings are being tortured, slaughtered and their bodies desecrated. People are committing suicide rather than be violated by these devils. WE are so removed from it its as if its not even real.. as if it doesnt impact every one of us. It does... ALL of us.

Regarding Biblical Prophesy, it is Al-Tabarani writings that ISIS has said his exact quote on End Days:

Abu al-Qasim Sulaiman ibn Ahmad ibn Al-Tabarani was born sometime in 260 AH (873 CE) and lived until 360 AH (970 CE). He narrated numerous aḥadīth.

ISIS propaganda videos explain the detail which HAS to be read from the YT (I think for copywrite issues)...I attempted external quote with no success.

Its about the Mahdi. They need to totally destabilize the region and then the world in order to usher in the golden decade of Islam rule under the Mahdi. You can use fervent religious radicals relatively easily. Get a guy to whip them up and then arm them.

I'm very conflicted over Putin, StormDancer.

I've heard him speak favorably on many occasions in regards to Christianity. I even saw what appeared to be an ad hoc interview with him in front of a Church he was going to attend for Christmas. As I recall he talked about how the church was special to him because his mother had secretly had him baptized there as a child. I really want to believe that he's sincere when he talks about things like this.

I just think its too soon to be sure and I'm watching to see what unfolds . . . hopefully watching.

Killing Christians is just a fun for them. Their main attempt and aim is to kill other muslims !
In Syria, They attacked and killed the Christians of Syria. Those who still are speaking in Aramaic and they uses Aramaic gospels.
Their aim is to clean signs of Jesus. However it is not their main aim.

God bless the Muslims. Christianity and Judaism are obviously flawed religions if it has led to, well, the West...

I know in America that we do not care about the poor or the homeless and we praise the rich and the greedy as if they were gods (which is responsible for the suffering in America). This is a very bad nation. Like that Pakistani guy from Seinfeld, "very bad indeed."

Christianity and Judaism produces a bunch of worthless, mindless sheep that are too hopeless to do anything without some "lord and savior" while billions suffer each day. The saddest reality of all, if We the People (at the least, in America) would unite or elect a good and honest politician (instead of voting for who "they" tell us to), then we would be able to put an end to ALL suffering in this world. Nah, Christianity is garbage, and should be eradicated. At least the Muslims are doing good in this world --killing Americans.

Disclaimer: I do not condone or support terrorism in any way whatsoever. However, what we call terrorism is actually a Holy War. If Americans would turn away from corruption and greed, then killing Americans would be a bad thing.
edit on 14-6-2014 by WhatWeNeedToday because: I think it is important to add the disclaimer in since the NSA is monitoring us...all of us...

This is another reason reasonable people tried to tell Bush not to invade Iraq. For just as Hosni Mubarack did in Egypt, Saddam protected the religious minorities in Iraq. He was secular.

You just wonder what in the world the US is doing. Are they trying to make things worse?
